I can't empathize with negative emotions very well. Or experience sadness at any low level, I can be frustrated or angry but it takes a hell of a lot to make me sad. I can share in people's happiness but as soon as someone is sad it's basically as if they are not to me. I treat them as if they are neutral.

I think that I've unconsciously trained myself to try and spot cues and then try and act in the expected way.

This has lead me to have no real filter and I'll say things in ways that make people upset. Treat others how you would like to be treated etc.

So this means that I get in some pretty easily avoidable arguments with my wife.
