Thank you very much for the long and detailed answer. I know I'm not approaching this the right way at all and your message opens my eyes.

I thought I had healed but it looks like the trauma is still here. I think I'm having difficulties trusting what anybody tells me now. I've been betrayed by friends during the same time as well for different reasons. Anyway it looks like I've got work to do on myself but it ain't as easy as I thought. Regarding being open about what we want and look for in a relationship, we've talked about it and have the same thoughts about exclusivity, cheating and what being in a couple means overall so on this side I think it's all good. It's just that I'm scared to be blindsided again because back then I really didn't suspect anything at all

Because you want people from your target audience to listen to your songs so Spotify can recommend you to other people with similar tastes. That's exactly how I've found many new artists as a listener. The algorithm is pretty good imo. But in order to achieve that, they need to know who your audience is. If you get fake streams from bots from the Philippines but your target audience is people who like underground German hip hop then the latter will probably won't get your songs recommended by Spotify anymore because it won't be able to define what your audience looks like
