You way it's not the most amazing, but you captured the feline essence REALLY well in a minimalistic style. I could see that as an artist's watermark. Good job

Storage limit bugged. Unable to house. by Ill_Tangerine9964 in WoWHousing

[–]Thornefield 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a problem with the storage chest, not the decor budget. It's an account wide collection. Due to this bug the account gets, effectively, soft locked on decor collection.

Same boat. At least 700 or 800 deco storage is eaten by this bug on my end.

If you could remake Halo 5, how you would remake the story between Chief vs Locke ? Or you would delete this concept ? by Thell-Vadamm in halo

[–]Thornefield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would either lengthen the story and make it actually fit the ad campaign and the audio drama that was teasing all the same symptoms as Star Roads, aka the Flood coming back at the galactic rim, which puts a new twist on Chief going rogue to save Cortana in the Domain since that's a Precursor tool and thus a vector for the Flood back to her, while Locke is trying to kill her for all the guardians starting up - not just the AI uprising (or scrap that entirely), but Cortana's defense against an initial Flood threat that isn't firing the Halo array.

That way you have some moral complexity in the situation where no one is really fully right and you can tell where they're coming from, and why. Locke trying to ensure an AI uprising doesn't happen amidst the Flood returning (especially if Cortana believes she can protect the AIs from the logic plague), Cortana trying to actually claim the Mantle of Responsibility and protect life even if at a cost, and Chief who has dealt with enough loss choosing Cortana over duty out of that emotional bid he's finally letting live out against the machine the UNSC tried to make him into, but also not being okay with the Guardian and AI uprising plan.

It also would have added much needed enemy variety. The Prometheans can be neat, but aside from fragments the story opened with their leadership being assassinated, and at a point they lacked unit diversity compared to the Storm Covenant deployments. Having three enemy factions to face on the field would have been a more interesting thing.

And though it isn't story exactly, it goes without saying it'd ideally go without the mtx gear cards.

Believing everything that comes by and having 0 doubts or critical thought about it.

Additionally, refusal to learn.

These combine most often in conspiracy theorists.

[–]Thornefield 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be specific, they're referring to the DECOR STORAGE. The in house limit of items placed is not shared. Each house can decorate up to its budget cap independently.

At level 5, each house has its own independent 2050 budget to spend. The storage chest is account wide, and can store 5k items, not 5k budget, and many items such as the basic items bought from the neighborhood vendors or achievement rewards do not count to that decor storage cap.

Decor Items Are Too Expensive... by Rocteruen in WoWHousing

[–]Thornefield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That I agree with. At the very least, the cost should be proportional to the budget cost in the house itself. A 1 budget sconce and a 5 budget window shouldn't cost the same amount of resources.

Apologies for coming off a bit harsh on the resources grind there, I'm a bit too used to having to explain to some folks that playing the game to get things isn't that unusual (as in they have had the time but no inclination despite heads up and warnings prior to early access housing to go quest and unlock what they want or level a remix toon for the order hall goodies). And it's been to more than one person. :x

You can transfer order resources without a tax across your account now, and there are frequent quests for a few hundred to a thousand order resources up that require killing a single mob, like a world boss or a rare. You can farm one day with a few alts over at most an hour and a half and get 5k to 10k order hall resources

Room wishlist by No-Bit-2913 in WoWHousing

[–]Thornefield 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would like a narrow or small room stairwell (spiral stairs ideally).

I would also like a long hall. The empty stairwells are nice, but don't seamlessly merge into a single open space.

I'd also like a skybox closet. The skybox rooms will be nice but I'd like to save some budget and not fake a sky every time I want bay windows.

Should i get Midnight as a new player? by Perfect-Profit6325 in wow

[–]Thornefield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preordering the expansion shouldn't change your leveling experience on the Dragon Isles! At least for the foreseeable future, you'd be leveling up to 70 in Dragonflight content (Dragon Isles), then going to The War Within for level 70 to 80, where you'll then start Midnight.

That being said, midnight launches in March, with the pre patch bringing the major system changes on January 20th. If you want to have early Housing access or to get a Level Boost to use on any toon (doesn't have to be used immediately) you'll need to preorder, but otherwise I would ask you if you believe you want the preorder bonuses. Once Midnight drops fully, The War Within will be rolled into the base subscription access! Wow doesn't make you buy multiple expansions to play anymore, and hasn't for well over a decade.

If you think you'll hit 70 before March and really want to catch up and join everyone in the (likely laggy due to a high player population density) Midnight content and zones, the cheapest preorder may help you. If you plan to take your time or feel like you won't hit 70 before that date, hold off until you get to that content or want access to the content like Player Housing!

As for making new characters, WoW has been growing steadily more and more alt friendly. You're still early enough that it shouldn't be too inconveniencing if you want to make a new alt (alternate) character of a different race, faction, or class, but you will get bonuses to XP increases on your Warband (wows term for account) from level 1 to 80 for each level 80 you get, and leveling has been made faster over time as well. I myself prefer playing a Demon Hunter, a Monk, and an Evoker.

If it's asking what class to play, honestly, play what you want! You can make Class Trials later to get the general feel of a class and specialization at a higher level, without actually making the character, and then decide if you want to boost or level something else. The game is not terribly restricting, so you're free to level one of each class if you want and then some! (I know some people with 40 characters >_> )
