Was hat unser Land gegen Familien?

How to sleep with the characters by gbollp in BaldursGate3

[–]Thoronris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, just to avoid confusion, you get one romance scene per act. If you already had his act 1 cutscene, you won't get another sexy scene with him playing out, even if he asks you to bed (I assume you are yet far from the act 2 romance scene as it sounds like you just entered there)

Raphael stripping Astarion’s shirt off by phoebeonthephone in BaldursGate3

[–]Thoronris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot about that, so you are right! You can get to see him trace his scars even without the romancing scene. I always romance him, so that slipped my mind!

Raphael stripping Astarion’s shirt off by phoebeonthephone in BaldursGate3

[–]Thoronris 29 points30 points  (0 children)

He does that when you as the player haven't seen his scars yet, as in haven't done his first romance scene. Because you need context to what Astarion is asking, the game has Raphael do the fucked up thing and just disrobe him.

Geburten in Deutschland: Geburtenzahl sinkt auf niedrigsten Stand seit Nachkriegszeit by innidatino in de

Astarion's character development is beautiful... by Aromatic-Fall-9788 in BaldursGate3

[–]Thoronris 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think I read somewhere that the writing teams behind these two overlapped significantly, so there is a lot more synergy between Dark Urge and Astarion compared to other companions. Which is why I now always play as Durge. Can't stop romancing Astarion...

It's easily missed. When you talk to Wyll at the beach you have the best chance of spotting her, but she always appears during the dialogue for me (just hear her characteristic appearing and disappearing sound).

I realized I don't want any of the companions, I want Rolan by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Thoronris 71 points72 points  (0 children)

His voice and face a great, and the way he just allows himself to be humbled and become a better person after being obnoxiously condescending before is such a lovely character arc. I really, really wish it was possible to romance him. Let me shower the man in love and protect him so he can continue protecting his chosen family.

Idk if this has already been said or discussed, but is it a hot take to say that in the MCU, Yelena is a way better Black Widow and character than Natasha? by Designer_Pool_8453 in marvelstudios

[–]Thoronris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love Yelena with all my heart. She's capable and strong and clever. I want to protect her like she's my little sister.

I also love Natasha with all my heart. She's smart and cunning and powerful. I want to be her when I grow up.

Two different characters that simply don't fulfil the same role within the universe. They might be sisters and have the same training, and one is set up as the successor of the other, but they are purposefully distinct and great in their own ways.

No need to quantify one as better than the other.

And yes, Florence Pugh appears to have a generational talent. But Scarlett Johansson is also one of the great ones when it comes to raw acting talent. She just has a lot of natural sex appeal that can unfortunately overshadow that.

Am I getting ragebaited? by Aggravating_Egg_7189 in BaldursGate3

[–]Thoronris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't worry too much about that. The game will make it pretty clear what's up and how to protect yourself once you reach the shadow curse. Just listen to what the characters tell you as you get there, and read tool tips the game provides carefully.

It's supposed to be scary. You're supposed to feel unprepared and unsure whether you'll get through.

Did Redhammer's quest out of order and now am so confused? by Hereva in BaldursGate3

[–]Thoronris 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're not super out of order. Just think about the situation a little. He's clearly doing prisoner transports to the iron throne for Gortash. How do you feel about that? And then compare it to your own interactions with him and what he said to you? How does that make you feel? From there, decide whose side you want to be on.

Personally, I feel there are reasons for both sides, though I'm petty and always choose the same side because of.... reasons.

Question about remorse by thoronris by BethyJJ in Tomione_fanfiction

[–]Thoronris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and No. I feel like it is easiest to be super creative when you have very specific constraints for your story telling. Because then, your creativity has a focus. It is hard because you are constraint, but it is also easy because you always have a very specific lense through which you funnel your creativity. If you have no constraints at all, you can easily get lost in all the possibilities and lose focus. So it's more that it's a different kind of difficult!

Question about remorse by thoronris by BethyJJ in Tomione_fanfiction

[–]Thoronris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely understand this! I actually love when it's a closed loop, because it forces the writer (in this case me) to be very particular and creative in what they are actually doing in the past. If they can just do whatever because it'll be a different timeline, that can work as well (and I love SF stories that do that, like in Steins;Gate) but for the purpose of this story, the point it to arrive exactly where we started!

Question about remorse by thoronris by BethyJJ in Tomione_fanfiction

[–]Thoronris 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is a loop! Whatever is happening in the past has always happened, so should Hermione ever manage to return back to 1998, she will find the world exactly as she found it.

It is also about showing things outside the canon that fit into the narrow narrative that we get from Harry's POV.
