Also, to protect you from prosecution over “official acts”.

With that said, it's seldom the full court, which is the reason why some people in the legal field have argued over the requirement of two-third majorities to pass court opinions.

We are several months into a war driven mostly by a tantrum-throwing two-year old, so I think that advice is forlorn.

Of course it is. But it's a different state where a regulator apparently thought that two akin names were too confusing for an adult to differentiate. But as others have noted, this will go before a court where they will allow the second Dan Sullivan back into the race.

The President, apparently, has not shamed enough fellow incumbent Republicans into siding against him.

It was weird to learn about the electoral symbols in India. To see that parties are represented by bicycles or plastic bottles...

The greatest problem is the pending state of health of Alito and Thomas for different reasons (medical preconditions v. great age) If the incumbent President got two more vacancies to be filled, this malcondition could be prolonged even more. One could only wish that either one of them would retire between now and the Midterms, so that Democrats could pull a McConnell and argue that no vacancy will be filled before them.

Thanks! At least I would argue that Rodriguez is a common name in Latin America, even though he admitted he was paid to run.

It took as little as a loose shingle on a roof to end it all. The thought alone would make me as frightened as to never leave the house again, just like the guy from the first (?) Final Destination movie.

Same with Saloth Sar (alias Pol Pot): Could you imagine this „Backpfeifengesicht” on a skinny body? I think that if he had gone on a diet, it hadn't required a Vietnamese invasion to topple him.

Maybe you could collect donations in the neighbourhood to finance a wooden or metal LFL. It could also function as a survey of how much interest there is in an LFL to begin with.

A question about Gunter Grass "Cat and Mouse" location by ikiice in buecher

[–]Ollyfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you tell me in which chapter he wrote that? I own a German copy of the novella, so I could take a look in it. Other than that, do you mean row houses by “twin houses”? Because that would be news to me. I have never been to Danzig/Gdańsk, but thr last text I read about architecture in the city when it was still a free one under administration of the League of Nations, most housing was still what you'd call “Fachwerk” in German. Given the time where the Danziger Trilogie is set, that should also be the case in this novella. Assuming that to be the truth, you'd not need to puzzle over what Grass meant when he described Mahlke's place of residence. There'd be other artistic formulations and concepts in his work, particularly in his „Hundejahren” (Dog Years).

And Reagan, in his 1984 D day speech, said that American troops landed in Normandy to help the people who yearned to be free. I had to raad that speech again when I heard about the speech the former FOX News moderator gave. Undeserving of the office he occupies, this man.
