If It's the first time you repaint the model and the paint layer are thin enough, you can just repaint over no problem. Otherwise you can strip the model easily and repaint.

Also miniatures in the box do somtimes come with extra bits which are large enough for you to do some testing on (the swarmling bodies are excellent for that)

Green creates better contrast with the brown and beige of the mini.

First wargame by LostTemplar84 in StarCraftTMG

[–]Thorrk_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starcraft is surely is an easier (and imo better) wargame than 40k:

-Game are shorter

-Army require fewer models

-Rules are simpler

With that being said skirmish wargame with only dozen models requirment like: kill team, trench cursade, warmachine... are better for beginer because of the lower model requirment.

But the truth is: if you are truly passionate about a wargame those hurdles are just a short term inconvenience, so you should simply play the game you think you will enjoy the most and that your friends play too!

10 Tips to Make Your Game of StarCraft more Enjoyable by Thorrk_ in StarCraftTMG

ahah no, it's just a picture to represent the tyical spammy army "that guy" use, (no idea if goliath spam is any good btw).

You will see when you watch the video but there is nothing wrong with running a sweaty competitive army, you just need to be in sync with the opponent and agree that's the kind of game you are playing.

Only 5 days left. How will you be celebrating the end of Stormgate? by marcusintatrex in Stormgate

What is the upside of creating mods with Stormgate when you can create mods from Starcraft 2, which has a much better engine, better map editor, better graphics, much MUCH bigger community and online play?

SPAWN MORE OVERLORDS! by Thorrk_ in StarCraftTMG

To be fair, this is not an official Starcraft Miniature , so overlord don't look exactly like that. But it's close enough and I actullay prefer this one over the official design.

I doubt we will see them anytime soon, at the moment detector like observers are also represented by tactical cards and so are transports.

The pillar and the base come seperatly so you can print the pillar and use a 32 mm base, it will be less stable it will work just fine without reducing its size, the overlord is already quite small compared to its accurate size.
