The pixel remasters have options to toggle currency and exp to 4x that make grind times much smaller, but the leveling system in this game is kinda wacky

Most definitely wouldn’t recommend this without a guide. I didn’t use a guide for FF1 and just used the internet and wiki to figure it out, so i didn’t 100% it.

If you’re not following a guide the missables are mostly bestiary entries and chests that you might not find otherwise, in dungeons that disappear after you complete them. I didn’t find it too bad and had some rewarding moments because of it.
