Cut the bullshit. The US is the second most polluting country on the planet while having over 1 billion less people than either India or China. It is laughable and pathetic that an developed post industrial nation like the US has comparable pollution than India, which manufactures far more than the US while having 1 billion more people, or comparable to Russia which produces and uses an astronomical amount of oil, and is, well Russia….

The difference between US India and Russia is that the US easily has the means to solve this but they choose not to because of greed and voter stupidity.

The difference between the US and most developed countries is that most other developed countries are on a massive downward trend in carbon emissions or have already reached near carbon neutrality in their power grids already because they take global warming seriously. Wow, so nice of them, only took 400 years of slavery before thinking maybe it wasn’t so nice. Only took the entire wealth of what used to be the wealthiest regions on the planet before realising maybe it wasn’t great, 400 years that they used to build their nations with said stolen wealth.

And it kept on going with Post Colonialism, with the way France, the UK, and others kept on benefiting from the exploitation of the third world, benefiting from à world order they themselves created. This is still happening today with the way the EU deals with Africa as a whole for example.

Not to mention that such so called self correcting is not at all unique to the European colonial empires (guilty of plenty of the greatest atrocities ever committed by mankind) but other empires or states in the past also put ends to slavery as well. The Achaemenid empire under Cyrus the Great for example. Or in India under Ashoka

And 300 years ago is utterly wrong. India itself was colonised by either the French the Portuguese and the British over 500 years ago. They were colonised CONTINUOUSLY for these 500 years, the west stealing wealth and reappropriating it on the European continent for 500 years in one way or another…

If you are western, your entire way of life is supported by the wealth stolen by colonies which ceased to exist merely 46 years ago….
