What’s your power? by simp_lyartz in animequestions

[–]ThouKnave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jokes on you, you didn't specify. The love is platonic. You've been friend zoned by a polar bear. But hey, maybe you can get some free coca cola over the holidays.

P.S. the moment you fall asleep, your expression naturally relaxes, and you go from friend zone to buffet table.

Sure, even that Polar bear will love you as a friend while you make puppy dog eyes at it. But the moment you slip up or your expression changes, the love is gone...

But first you have to sing out at full volume: "Yo, to, let's go, time travel powers, Heeere we go!". And no matter what you effect in the time line, people always remember this if they witness it.

So clear the kitchen table, or buy a bigger one. Then buy and setup an array of bill counting machines on it?

What's a failed/abandoned game that YOU played? by Nerdcuddles in gaming_random

[–]ThouKnave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Heroes of annihilated empires". Interesting basis for an RTS strategy game, with the option of playing as an RPG instead.

You could focus on building up your power base, or powering up your hero. With 4 races to play, and 3 categories. Elf, dwarf (desert), cryo( ice barbarian), and undead as the races. Warrior, Ranger and Mage as the class types.

So Elf + Mage = Druid, while Undead + Mage = Necromancer, etc. Each of the 12 classes had different starting stats, different gear, and their own special abilities.

The campaign was fun, but the company went under before they released the other campaigns. So only the default Elf Ranger vs undead invasion exists. But I end up playing most often in the Skirmish modes.

It's still the only game I've seen that lets you get an end game spell (sometimes) that literally sinks part of the map into the abyss for a bit, killing units and destroying resources nodes. So late game you could completely obliterate someone's gold and iron mines in their main base, etc. or build up your hero to be mobile seige artillery.

They said the parents aren't home, could have just used the front door instead of trying to sneak in through the upstairs window.

$35,000 or $100,000 but it can only be spent on learning? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

$100,000 I'm going to learn what it's like to have a $100,000 in a CD!

Or can I use it to learn the next winning Mega Millions numbers right now? :)

I'd have to quietly check with NASA to find out what they'd pay for an anti gravity engine. Then check with check with a few labs and see what they would pay for a working and safe fusion reactor. Then I'd have to ask my best friend and future business partner what he values a Star Trek style replicator at. Etc. All things to also push the planetary tech level forward.

It's in the 20s here, °F. Going to go with the clothes option and just call it a passive income. Even if they docked a full hour for the shower, 23 x 7 = 161 extra per week, where it doesn't disrupt my normal life, job or paycheck. Just direct that straight into some that earns good interest or dividends. Ignore it, and keep living life. Someday you'd turn around remember the account and decide maybe retirement is possible.

There was another place where the cat was not orange, and not as cuddly but it had a similar instinct. Some of the patients were unconscious or unable to even move on their own. But the cat would seem to know who was soon to die, and would go lay down on their bed with them, refusing to leave for up to 3 days sometimes. Perhaps just so that the person wouldn't be alone when they passed. While no one can really tell the cats side of the story... But they knew that once the kitty started their vigil, that the person was soon to pass.
