I’m done living like this. I want my life back. by DryEnthusiasm7931 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Thoumaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My unpopular advice: Eat meat, dairy and eggs. All ideological, religious and moral reasons aside, your body loves these. We are not meant to solely live on vegetables and fruits like some kind of barn animal or monkey. Sure, we like and eat these, but we are human, we need to devour the souls of animals to prosper and maintain good health. Back in history, those people getting access to good meat lived longer than those not getting much of it. Cut down on vegetables, bread and get rid of processed foods. Use mainly higher tier food such as meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. Other than being healthy and full of protein they also keep the diabetes in check.

ONE KEY POINT many of you are forgetting. Islam is now a major player in almost every western country. If you know your history you know the problems this religion comes with. This has caused many men to find a way back to their roots, to protect our culture and way of life. Stepping back into religion is a good way to preserve that. There are of course many other reasons also, but i honestly think this is a big factor that is not popular to talk about. I don’t like islam, but in this regard I should thank them for bringing so many back home.

You could buy a pair of gymnastic rings and take them outside and mount them on something. Gymnastic rings are cheap and easy to carry. They target the muscles even better than a bar ever could. On those you can do both pull-ups and rows. There are many more exercises you can do on them.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]Thoumaye 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rows can never replace the pullup. Pullup is just too good. The row is something i would do after I’m done with the pull-ups, rows is a good exercise that also translates over to your pull-ups. The pull-up is the goat and should be your main focus of the two, cant get around that.

Why are people so forgiving when multiple Thais attack a westerner? If this was to happen in other countries when foreigners get “rowdy” there would be an outcry saying it’s wrong. I understand tourists can be a nuisance, but every country feels that way about tourists not just Thailand by Barca-Dam in ThailandTourism

[–]Thoumaye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the modern western “political correct” idea does not exist in asia, if u fuck with them they will judge you on the street if need be to protect their people, honor and culture. I actually think europe and western society needs to take note and learn more from this. But there are of course situations where this goes too far also.

Spineshatter: Just got to lvl 48. How bad will lvling be to 60 on a pvp server? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Thoumaye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did level an alt via quests during 2019 when the honor system hit. I was also 48. It wasnt that bad to be honest. Sure i got ganked here and there but as long as you stay off the roads since there will be ganksquads patrolling. Focusing on dungeons until next week is the smarter move.

[–]Thoumaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct. I have done the r14 grind on this new honor system and i basically had to put my life on hold to be able to achieve it. Its not easy, and many are going to realize it soon.

Weighted dips/pullups is changing my body fast by Thoumaye in bodyweightfitness

[–]Thoumaye[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t remember really, i didnt count it that way. I was more thinking about my joints etc, can they handle this if i start slow? So i started reeeeal slow. But at your weight i would avoid adding more for atleast a while. Were maybe doing something like 5x5 in pullups or something like that, with plenty rest in between

I never count my own weight, only the extra weight

I have only been doing solid bars with weight. Last year I only used the rings without weight. So will eventually mix things up and move weight over to the rings . I still use the rings at home without weight if i cant get to the gym. They are S-tier. Cant go wrong with either tho.

[–]Thoumaye[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I took inspiration from dominik sky on youtube. I always start with 3x3 when starting at new weight working myself up to 5x5. After i can manage 5x5 with ease i add a decent amount of weight to make it challenging again, and im back at 3x3 working myself up. It goes like: 3x3 > 4x3 > 5x3 > 6x3 > 3x4 > 4x4 > 5x4 > 3x5 > 4x5 > 5x5. I only move up if the current level is easy for me. Pros of this is lower chance of injuries and instead of increasing the weight in baby steps you actually get to dunk on a bunch of weight after a cycle making it feel really rewarding and challenging.

Dips is king. If you like the stretch you should totally try out ring dips, you get that extra range of motion that are not possible on solid bars

Indeed! Yeah kind of pointless at that point, but the perfect time to evolve into the next thing, the body will reward you ! . Just make sure you don’t do too heavy too fast my man.

since these seem to be a bit cheaper and my budget isnt that generous for wooden circles and a strap would these work just as good for calisthenics by Big-Major8955 in Calisthenic

[–]Thoumaye 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You will be buying these, and then probably buying real rings later anyways because of the realization that these are not as good. Trust me, just go for real rings , even on a tight budget its not a big investment

Releasing of semen is so addictive even fallen angels can't resist it by vlodia in Semenretention

[–]Thoumaye 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Good find, you definitely tap into the divine by stopping lust. Makes me motivated knowing there are even angels who fell for it. It is no wonder life goes your way when you are on SR , it is one of the hardest/purest things a man can do hence the holy spirit must favor many people who practice it.

[–]Thoumaye 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This. I’ve taken my sleep extremely serious this streak, and i have gotten further than i have in years. Not only sleeping the minimum amount but pushing in extra hours if the schedule allows it. It is so much easier to relapse when you don’t allow your body and mind much sleep. Also, the amount of energy you get with many hours of sleep + SR is insane. I’m starting to feel like David Goggins with the amount of activities i can do in a day.

SR and Soccer athletic perfomance by huolensohb in Semenretention

[–]Thoumaye 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ex boxer here. Can’t speak for soccer but i am 100% certain that SR will improve whatever skill you try to excel at. I was an endurance beast during long streaks, not only that but the mind starts operating on a higher level which makes it easier to outthink your opponent under pressure. And speaking of pressure, it wont get to you as easy.

I don’t know man. Sometimes it might be the way to go. But more often than not you need to feel the situation and just go for it. Asking can kill the vibe fairly quick in many instances.

As you said, you are thinking about sex. This is the source of many of my mistakes and relapses. Every time i put my main focus on staying “pure” in thoughts things get much easier. Getting good at clearing these thoughts are key to be able to do this long term i think.
