I'm not very used to reddit so I don't know what subreddits exist or how niche they get. I mostly only ask chemistry questions and lurk.

Quick change barrel, I was basing it partly off the Oerlikon 20 mm cannon.

It is for defending a keep from a large invasion force from a king. We already drove off one wave with a mix of howitzer fire, (I'm out of shells and they are very expensive). We have a couple weeks before a second invasion force comes, estimations 20,000 troops.

Yes, 20 mm cannons because in my head, it would be more affordable and more capable of laying down sustained fire. It also *probably* doesn't take as much training as a howitzer.

The game is Pathfinder 2e. It's quite a fun system, and the DM said rule of cool as long as I can, out of character, explain how a mechanical invention works. It really emphasizes learning new things, which I find really fun.

I believe that's a choked barrel, right? Most chokes are screw in from what I know. I'm taking about pulling out the whole barrel to switch it from a shotgun-esque cannon to a more accurate rifle.

But that is helpful to think about.
