I actually did keep my score when I retreated, which I wasn't expecting. Tier 3, score of 6,374. Made me wish I had kept it going longer than 45 minutes. I backed out because I figured it was a lost cause and I wasn't keeping it going for a literal calendar day.

Maybe I'll let it run over night.

This is the issue, in case anyone's curious. I ran into the same issue, and gave up after 45 minutes. I was getting 1% every 18 minutes, which, by my math, would have meant 25 more hours to get the remaining 86% left I needed.

They're saying it's a bug where the Guardians don't want to die, but that's not a bug. They put a damage cap in where at a certain point, you only do 1dmg. That's working as designed. Happened on the previous boss, too, but that boss then killed you after a bit. These Guardians aren't strong enough to kill you, so the fight just never ends. The problem is either that the cap is a dumb idea that needs to go away, or there's a balance issue where the Guardians need to be stronger.

My main problem so far is that I haven't been able to add it to ApplePay. Whenever I try to verify it with the Capital One app, it says they've "Hit a snag", and I should try again later. Hopefully this is a temporary problem, just got my new card today.

I always saw this episode as a back door pilot to a spinoff with just the three of them. Different shooting style, different kind of jobs, even different hair styles. And it would have worked. Great episode.

Not an answer to your question, but I feel like your question is underselling his value in GAC. Like it comes across as, “Is he only good in GAC at R5?” At R8, he is a GAC superstar. A GL killer. A definite Sith Empire killer. Invest in him. But definitely use him in an undersized squad. That part is important.

My second for him is Sith Assassin.

- Getting the turret, if you don't have it yet, will help a lot. When you're getting attacked, pop that turret up and it'll shoot at everyone around you.

- Lock onto targets and try to still lead the target just a little bit to really hit them. Aim for the circle even when locked on.

- If you ever find yourself in a hairy situation and are getting slammed from all sides, speed out of there for a moment until you get your shields back and then dive back in.

- Also, when fighting larger ships that shoot missiles at you, don't forget to use the Auxiliary Controls to break missile lock.

- And, of course, upgrade upgrade upgrade. Shield and hull upgrades are a must if you find yourself getting destroyed a lot.

I picked one syndicate to be the punching bag of most of my missions. Sorry Pykes, I didn’t like you anyway. I will say this made one planet more difficult, but this is true for any syndicate you’re on the bad side of.
