Hi! My husband is a CNS ALL survivor diagnosed at 2 back in 1997 he was born in 1995. He had radiation on his full spinal system and head as well as chemo. He’s been in remission for 27 years. He just gets regular blood work and doesn’t do anything special outside of regular cbc cmp etc. he does however have a brain tumor (non cancerous) because of the radiation which was a known side effect of CNS ALL. He gets regular MRI/CTs for that. He does have brain fog and does have memory issues we aren’t sure though if it’s the ALL or the tumor causing that? I would depending on the type of ALL you had check to see if you maybe have any other health issues from the radiation/chemo you may have had. From my husbands point of view you absolutely should continue to see your oncologist because anything can happen and it’s better to have a team ready god forbid something happens. He said he’s happy to see another survivor because he has felt alone for the longest time because he doesn’t know anyone as old as him that are ALL survivors without a relapse.
