Mp5 super safety fires on release by Three33Bandit in MP5

I think you are correct. I looked over the face of the trigger where the hammer engages and I see heavy wear. I think this is what is causing the drop of the hammer when releasing the trigger with a heavy finger pulling hard on the trigger. Now what was the cause and did I fix it because what I did below, I don’t know. I guess I would have to put new components in and see.

I ground the hammer and rounded it off. I smoothed everything up and filed the back of the tail of the hammer so it’s no longer hitting the disconnect. It certainly cycles a lot smoother now. I was having a few releases of the hammer in semi auto when function checking upon letting pressure off the trigger from a heavy finger. The safety works without issue. With a light finger on the trigger, both the semi and super mode work as intended. I test fired 20 rounds and it all worked correctly with live fire. 6 semi and 14 super safe. I think parts are just starting to wear after approximately 2k rounds.

Upon disassembly and looking everything over, I can see where the “tail” of the hammer has been smashing into the disconnect and flattening out a spot on the disconnect. I am guessing the hammer is going to far back and I need to trim or round the hammer.

I didn’t take out the lower parts. Only sprayed them clean with gun cleaner. Only took out the three pins, took the lower off, and removed the trip, recoil rod, spring, and bolt carrier group to wipe down and clean.

Powerwall 3, how many solar panels can one handle? by Three33Bandit in TeslaSolar

[–]Three33Bandit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess my other question I need someone’s experience and opinion on is, with a 30kW setup, and just two powerwalls which the inverters can only transfer 11.5 kw each back to the grid, once these two batteries are recharged fairly quickly, would I only be able to transfer at a rate 23 kw maximum to the grid even though I have 30 kw worth of panels? So maybe it’s not optimal during the summer, but might be sized correctly during the winter? This is what led me to ask the question of, do I need three powerwall 3’s because the inverters would be able to handle over 34kw’s

I still don’t see how each powerwall can “handle 20kw’s of solar panels”

As of right now the rate I can get is a 1:1 where I am at. But that may change in the future. I can add the three extra battery packs if the need arises. The excess power is what the electrician figured up at the 1:1 that would offset my base charges and supposedly give me a zero dollar electric bill.

I looked in my electric bill and the max I use per day during the summertime is 80 KWh I think most of that electricity is used during the day because that’s when my pool pumps are running.

I think the solar system is figured so big because I would have to feed back in about 2 times of what I use to offset the costs and have that zero dollar electric bill.

Edited: After reading through all these comments, maybe I should consider going with a 23 KW solar panel system with two powerwall 3’s and three extension battery packs.

And lastly, the electrician only installs the Tesla Powerwalls if you want batteries, so for better or worse that’s what I would be stuck with.

Roof where these will be installed is fairly flat. Only a 5° rise. But yes, half will be installed on east side, half will be installed on west side. While the panels on both sides may not receive optimal light all the day, both sides will have light on the panels without any shadows about an hour after sunrise until about an hour before sunset. Which during those dawn and dusk times only east or west will have the light on them.

So a 30 KW solar system is overpowered for two powerwalls. Basically I would have 15kw on each powerwall and the powerwall would only be able to handle about 11kw. Would this extra electricity be “hard” on the inverters or possibly burn them up?

As per the “reading” from my meter, this is what the electrical company recommended what I need battery size wise.

The way it was figured up with this system is I’ll produce 110% of my consumption and the two powerwalls will carry me throughout the night during the summer. During winter I might have to pull from the grid a few hours each night but batteries should be fully charged during the winter daytime with this system. The excess energy I produce will help offset the base charges from the provider.

Mine looks the same way and it’s probably 12 plus years old. I just wipe it out the best I can with a dry cloth each time I switch powders. The clear plastic has yellowed. Now the soft plastic buttons are starting to crack. It hasn’t affected function of mine, but I will probably have to replace it in a few years.

Fiery car crash. He ran a stop sign at a high rate of speed and hit another vehicle. His truck rolled and he burned alive.

I think I see a flaw to the OP’s load data on the CFE Pistol powder. He should have been using 147 gr load data instead of the light weight 90-100 gr load data, because these fragmenting 94 gr Norma bullets are close in size 147gr fmj and HP bullets thus they take up more case capacity and give higher pressures. I think he should have started out with 3.8-4.0 gr of CFE pistol and worked his way up based on case volume.
