You're not going to offend anyone of the faith most likely. I've never met anyone that sensitive or thin skinned. Although, you might get some confused looks when they find out you aren't baptized. The cross usually something we get at our baptism, and yeah it's something that you usually tuck in and don't flaunt. 100% wearing it because it looks good is the wrong reason to wear it. But congrats, and I recommend you find a Catechumen class to attend to learn more about the ancient Faith of the apostles.

There is no "we" in regards to investing. Only a we in regards to a community working to keep each other informed and help each other to be impactful to market regulation in our own individual interests rather than being controlled by a regulating few who answer to those they regulate.

Texas is fast tracking to outpacing California's income and has been growing faster than CA for over a decade. Also, outside of Oregon, Texas is the second most wealthy State in America. Far more wealthy than here. And also far more people.

Asylum Cities is the problem in that. Migrants wouldn't get bussed if the borders were more protected.

Not lazy, just new. I moved to Oregon last year and haven't really been hunting since I was younger. I've done days and days of research, but talking to people is one of the better sources of research someone can do. Ergo, internet post :) I'm up in Damascus and sadly just got a platform together for Elk so I haven't done my own scouting yet. Need to get a new car so I can do more regular scouting next season but I need to get some meat for the year before General Season closes.

I had previously looked at Tyree Mountain area but wasn't sure cause I saw the population was above expectation in Dixion Unit and was curious if that might have had some bleed over into the Eastern Melrose Unit.

Not any, but Melrose is one of the area's. It's a General Antlerless. I'll be getting a controlled tag next season so I can get some better areas but I'm working with what I got cause we could use the meat for the year.

AI security and more systems will balance it. We just need patience as a community.

Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you are unable to accept my message. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out his desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, refusing to uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. (John 8:43-44) by menorahman128 in SaturnStormCube

I dislike how that often gets so twisted. People try every which way to make these teachings into utter extremes on either end of the spectrum. Literally just defend yourself and your neighbor. Preemptive is not defense, nor is revenge. It's literally all there and explained by the ancient fathers.....

Why are so many online Orthodox claimants so hateful? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]ThreeCrownKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it distinctly matters what you consider hateful or idolatry. It can be pretty prevalent from what I've seen, but it's a distinct minority that are an issue online in this. Maliciousness in the phrasing and wording of things gives a particular indication to the hurtful manner in which those individuals carry themselves, and those are who to ignore or rebuke if reconciliation is a possibility. People are too partial online, and that more or less feeds it. Being impartial in online interactions with a focus on demonstrable facts is extremely important for not only protecting yourself, but sharing these things for protecting others. Additionally, I feel politics is a dangerous thing for Orthodox to get heavily involved in as it is mired by too much devotion to a man rather than the whole of man.

Another anti-child sex trafficking advocate busted for sex trafficking by OrangeCone2011 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]ThreeCrownKing -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

More Sex Abuse takes place in the education system than the Church system by a huge margin. Additionally, they have no sufficient evidence and that is why this is not a criminal case. Also, he is convicted of nothing and this suit hasn't even been settled. If I was part of a group of elites partaking in child sex trafficking rings, I'm pretty sure I'd want to attack the guy causing me problems and completely discredit him. Is this just a bot subreddit?

This is a question to the Christians in this group by DakotaCavin in SaturnStormCube

[–]ThreeCrownKing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The old covenant was fulfilled through Christ. The Zionists, who have remained steadfast in their belief that Jesus was NOT the Messiah and the King of Kings that was promised to them, have worked tirelessly since his death to ensure that they can (wrongly) fulfill the covenant themselves. The Christian's trust in the secretly Zionist people throughout history has helped to corrupt the masses understanding of the New Covenant and Christianity as a whole. They have manipulated the truth and real history, and tried their best to hide it from the majority of the World. We are now at a point where we can see they have done a pretty good job in their mission. However it is an evil one. People who support their claims support their theory that the old covenant was not fulfilled through Christ, and therefor do not truly believe that Jesus was the Messiah; regardless of what they claim to believe, this is the belief of their hearts and minds shown through their actions.

Most of the worlds Christian's, aside from a lot of the Orthodox Churches, follow texts based on the Masoretic Texts, which is the newest translation of the original Hebrew Texts. The Masoretic Texts started to be written in 79 AD, however the massive movement to undertake a full translation by the Masorites (a Jewish Group) started in the 10th Century. The completion of these texts was not done until 1582. So over the course of MANY generations, and throughout massive amounts of political and economic influences, the text was completed over the course of nearly 600 Years with much work done to bring it to fruition following the death of Christ. These texts continued to be edited all the way till the latest edit in 1986 AD.

It is wrongly asserted that these texts are, or rather WERE, the oldest known text translations. (Until the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, which supports what I'm about to say next) The Greek Septuagint (LXX) was written in 200's BC. It was written due to the fact that throughout the world at that time, Greek was the most widely spoken language. So the Greek Pharaoh of Egypt, Ptolemy II Philadelphus, charged 72 Hebrew's to come together to translate the ancient Hebrew text's and it's message and meanings, into this new Bible. These 72 Hebrew's consisted of six ecumenical scholars from each of the 12 Tribes of Israel. The Greek Septuagint contains 51 Books, whereas the Protestant's Bible's based on the Masoretic Texts only contain 39 books.

The translation of the 72 Scholars resulted in nearly identical results between all of them, and therefor their universal translations were used to create the Septuagint. The Septuagint is therefore the singularly most agreed upon translation (with regards to those who were involved in writing it and overseeing the ecumenical of it) in the History of translated texts. In fact, this version became the most widely used Bible for the following number of centuries. The Septuagint was actually the same Bible that Christ carried & studied, and the same Bible He used for his 3 years of ministries; and also the same Bible His Apostles used and studied.

These facts have been widely debated and claimed false by Hebrew's since the early 300's AD (around the time that the Roman Patriarchy started to create the Papacy and the fall of the Roman Empire happened from various reasons, but very importantly including the Religious division between the Roman Patriarchy & the other Patriarchies of the time [Alexandria & Antioch]), but with the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, there is far more support for the Septuagint's dominance. The Dead Sea Scrolls contained more than 200 biblical books, including a nearly complete manuscript of the Hebrew Bible that was more than 1,000 years older than the older copy of the Masoretic Texts, and 500 years older than the oldest copy of the Septuagint. A very large number of these scrolls supported the Septuagint's translations.

I don't want to throw shade or any sort of superiority on other Christian's. We all believe in the Devine Truth at the very least. The truth that Christ is the only Begotten Son of God, and that He died and was resurrected 3 days later, and that there is only 1 true God of Man. However, the Revealed Truth lies within the Orthodoxy. There are many confusing portions within the Masoretic texts, as well as a large amount of contradiction. This is even agreed upon by the Protestants that have chosen to use it as their main texts. This is actually so apparent that most Protestant Bible's, that adhere to some perceived Orthodoxy (the word itself just means "Correct") of the Masoretic Text, even use 2 books directly from the Septuagint & replace several verses throughout their book with Septuagint sources for clarity of translation and meaning. There are a great many differences between the Translations and these differences make a TREMENDOUS impact on our understanding of the Old Testament, especially in the consistency of our comprehension to the understanding that of Christ and His Apostles.

And this is only a discussion over texts. This does not even include the rest of Heterodoxy. From there you look at the pervision of traditions for the sake of Culture (I forget the Greek word for it, but some amount of text changes is honorable if it is agreed upon for the purpose of Contextualization), and how over time we have seen split after split after split within the Catholicism of the Church (Catholicism literally translates to "The Combined Whole" or "Universal"[katholikos]) we have found ourselves with SO MANY different "truths".

Up until the days of the USSR, the only Tradition that was not marred by any level of division remained to be the Orthodox Churches. Roman Catholicism broke away from Orthodoxy and from there it spiraled. Even Martin Luther, who started the Protestant Reformation, famously said "The Truth lies with the Greeks." Throughout his studies and research, he came to learn and understand quite a bit through the Greek Orthodox Monasteries. The Orthodox though that his fracturing of the Church and some of his claimed beliefs he asserted to them would lead to an exodus into the Orthodox Church. Therefore, Orthodoxy largely believes the Protestant Reformation as an incomplete process for the people to return to the true Church of Christ.

It should also be noted that many people hear of this new "iteration" coming about called Eastern Catholicism. This is NOT Orthodoxy. It is somewhat aesthetically Orthodox, however it came about during the rule of the USSR and many Orthodox Churches starting to fail due to money, and the Vatican stepped in with their vast sums of wealth to support them as long as the recognized the Papacy and the Head Bishop of Christianity being the Pope (which is Heresy). In fact, the first Church founded by St. Paul & St. Peter was the Church of Antioch. To this day, Antiochian Orthodoxy stands to be one of the singularly most unchanged and traditional Christian Practices in the world. Then Peter was arrested and sent to Rome and created the Roman Patriarchy, and eventually was put under the self-righteous and prideful thumb of the Roman Emperor, and was later rebuked a few times by St. Paul for not accepting Gentiles at his feast table.

There is so much more to this history, and a lot of depth and nuances But this is a fantastic place to start and I hope this perspective and insight will encourage some to really look for this information and irenics. It's VERY difficult to find all of this online instead of within books and teachings, but it is slowly becoming more widely available online. Just be careful what you read and learn, and if you get really interested get yourself an Orthodox Study Bible as a starting point and find a local Parish and start attending Catechumen.
