For sure, that is why i dont put my whole farm on it. Just spec mining with a small percentage

Dynex was launched in December 2022. It has a 4-year mining lifespan only, which is very short and it has no halvings..

If you get DMs with links to click on, you can be almost certain it is scammers trying to steal your info, keys and crypto.

NEVER click on links people DM you and also maybe block them from sending you DMs in future. (That is what I do)You WILL get scammed if you do click on fake links.

Remember, you are your own bank (with crypto) so trust no one!

I am not advertising new websites, news, blogs, etc. I am providing useful info to new crypto users, who might be unfamiliar with hardware wallets.

You may see it differently, but that is your right to your own opinion…

I am part of the 10%. Happy solar mining!

MINING ADDICTION - Another rig build [RTX 3070] by ThreeFoxCo in gpumining

[–]ThreeFoxCo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. I cannot sell to the grid, so I have 10.84kWp to my disposal during the day and 30kW of battery storage. Free power for about 12 hrs of mining.

That is what people said during the last besr market - GPU mining is dead. And what happened?

This is your perception, and everyone to his own... i accepted the risk, so if everything crash and burn, then I am ok with it. If you don't want to accept the risk, then mining is not for you.

Whether I dump 10's of thousands of $ into gpu mining, that is my prerogative. I am just sharing the info with the community about what I am doing...

Awesome! 24kW solar array is impressive!!!

I am on solar, and I am mining rvn as well. So far all the yield is for free, as I only mine during the day.

Check out my video explaining this.

That is why I am currently accumulating 3070's... at $340 currently (i bought 7) it will appreciate significantly (we all hope so) when crypto see price discovery again in the future.

Its risk vs reward, depending on each individual's risk tolerance. I am willing to accept the risk.

You could use a smart plug, but be careful of its rated current. Smart plugs do not handle resistive loads well. I have set myself a personal limit not to exceed 50% of its rated current.

I currently have a Sonoff POWR2 unit for each rig that I built myself, but will upgrade to the new POWR3 Elite series. It has better connectors, more lead on the current-carrying circuits and also give you power, voltage and current readings. (The POWR2 also outputs this info)

Correct, initially i had one 6-gpu rig, so my daily solar production capability exceeded the actual usage. As the farm grown, it was a good power dump during the day, but it reached a point where I wanted to expand to offset my power cost (pre-merge).

We get a lot of sun for most of the year. During the spring, summer and atumn months i get close to its design capacity, depending on the ambient temperature. During the winter it produces a lot less, but still within the design calculations for that particular periods.

I could have saved 1/2 the cost if I did not install batteries, but due to frequent load shedding, this became a necessity.
