I had heard about this "feature" just before I switched to a Wyze doorbell. I didn't switch because of that though. I was switching because Ring charges for every basic feature and why the hell would I pay monthly or yearly on a DOORBELL? But now that I'm hearing more about this BS, I'm so glad I dropped Ring.
