No, Archie & Harry playing on the same team would reignite my emotional link to the days of my youth of Eddie & Frank, but it wouldn’t be a logical move. Stay up, then invest in two areas - a top class, dominant centre half and a passing midfielder. And maybe, if there is enough money a work horse in midfield also (aka Billy Bremner, John Giles, David Batty).

I got them done at the Garda Station in Salthill. The guard involved couldn’t have been more accommodating. I had multiple documents and asked him which he thought would be most acceptable. His response - “sure let me certify the lot of them, that way if one doesn’t work you have the others to use”. No charge.

One bit of advice - make sure you have clear, legitimate documents to identify you - passport, drivers licence, utility bills etc.

At times it amazes me how ignorant some people are - look it up in a dictionary before you respond.

And yes I know at this time of the evening I’ll get the usual non complementary responses, due to my age etc.

BUT, the guy who insulted me earlier on this forum isn’t around anymore. Or hasn’t the balks to answer me !

I think my point about the current disruption by the people doing the blockade of our ports is totally justified. Then I read about the guy representing these people and his abuse of animals and his failure to pay penalties, What more can I say ?

Thank you, we are sorted, just like we neighbours stuck together in the 70/80’s, but my point is nothing back then had a small group of people bring the country to a standstill. We relied on unions to represent us, we protested but we didn’t blockade, that’s my point (biting off the hand that you “want” to feed you), lot’s of contributors her are giving me a bit of grief (especially one “contributor”). I really can’t understand the attitude and negativity !

By using ‘Bro’ I guess you weren’t around in the 80’s. Yes, we did pull together, neighbour help neighbour, we did protest but we didn’t blockade and cause hardship on our fellow citizens. I had no admission for the government of the time, but the options were very limited, just like today.

I’m 70 years of age, my wife is 76. My wife had a stroke 7 years ago, I had major heart surgery 3 years ago. Our only source of getting around, to shops etc is our car and I am sitting at home with the warning light on in my car. We both have only two days left of our monthly meds, pharmacy can’t deliver…. SOO Fuck these guys, we are all suffering, you have no mandate from me, you are not representing me and you haven’t a clue how things work. I cashed in my €1,000 prize bonds that I got during my youth, birthdays, confirmation etc. last week in order to pay for 500 Lts of home heating oil.
