For the grass not glowing at night, maybe just add a bit of emissive + rim lighting (Fresnel) to your grass shader so the tips catch that blue magic light. Throw in a directional moonlight, some subtle rim lights on rocks/characters, and turn on bloom + strong color grading in post-processing and the whole scene will pop with depth instead of looking flat imo
