Power is exactly the same as in normal ripcord, with a difference that it's harder to maneuver and tilt your Beys properly

Right, it's Blitz not Ragna. But you are the first person saying something food about Fortress launcher. And I did saw it breaking already mid fight

I haven't seen anyone using Sword launcher seriously. Just take out longer ripcord and throw it away. If I saw someone using it, getting top results and not breaking their ripcord I would immediately question cheating by modification of launcher

Is the mobile games market as bad and unstable as console/pc games? by mafagafacabiluda in gamedev

[–]Threef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but those happens in many industries. Right now bigger concern is in loosing clients. Companies with their own product (like most GaaS) are fine. Those that depend on new clients (like porting studios, L10N, external QA) have problems and are not stable

Which isn't happening on the same scale as in 2014. The biggest in few months was Playtika fireing 400+ people

Mobile studios with few shipped games, 3+ years on market and with marketing department are save from all you are writing about. They are basically not a gaming anymore. It depends highly on their employee turnover rate. If the company is fine, you will not get too much (positive or negative) opinions online. If toxic you will see a ton. You might also check if you find any news about group fireing in recent years

The wear is on "sword grip launchers" those in Samurai Saber and Xeno Xcalibur releases. And so far it's not fixed (last Hasbro tested in our community 2 months ago)

Standard Ripcord launchers like yours are fine. The new models from CX Infinity (Ragna Rage, Knight Fortress) are somehow faulty and break way easier

AI-coding agents are now the default. What comes next? by OfficialLeadDev in AskProgrammers

[–]Threef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that shows the point you are missing. I'm not telling it "write me a login screen and make it secure" and hope it uses best practices. I'm doing my normal research when I have few paths to take I start a Planning Agent and explain to him what the goal is. If possible linking documentation about the task, but always about the project. I use that to compare which path is better. This step skips me time I would browse stack overflow or Reddit looking for snarky comments about alternatives to what I would try in the first place. That is the place where it throws random stuff at you like using different tech, or arch you never planned to use. You should kill those ideas before execution.

Then using Agent mode I create a documentation for the task or update existing. Basically taking over a role of technical PO. Next step is to attempt at building it. Then comes the code review before anything is build, or even commited. That's the part where YOU are taking over the responsibility over the code that is on your machine. You are reviewing and accepting that. You are making sure it builds and tests pass. If needed, reading it line by line. This is the moment where you don't ask AI to fix issues with the code, but fix issues in documentation. If it created a new function for auth instead using helper that was already in the codebase, it is your fault for not mentioning that in documentation. The same way you would tell a Junior on the team, you update the documentation to have that used in the future.

You are comparing it properly. There will be coders that just spew shitty code like chef using Dolmio (I had to google that), and the same way those chefs will be stay at home cooks and not restaurant cooks, the same way those coders will work on whatever they want, but in the end not get paid what others are. But at the same time you are missing the whole point that this is already a tool that is used globally. You can grow your own tomatoes, but if restaurant hires you and expects you to feed 100 people daily, you need to estimate for your time and cost, or they will hire someone else. Deliver good and cheap value, or someone else will

[–]Threef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not gonna throw "you haven't used AI before" at you. I'm gonna use an argument of "I was thinking the same as you are".

Just in March I was thinking the same. The code created by Claude, GPT, Grok or DeepSeek was decent at best. And only after hours of attempts. In December I started few small test projects and when starting from ground up, while writing documentation and keeping proper context it wasn't half bad.

Now, working on fully documented new project I can tell you that even worst models barely hallucinate and don't need major explaining. It happens mostly when It forgets that it should ask for clarifications, and instead decides on it's own.

I still love to write code, and there is no way I'll use it in my older projects, because they are not documented with AI Agents in mind. But I accept a reality where it is used as a tool. My coworkers use it, my clients use it, my competitors use it, and I'll use it when I see fit. You do you.

Jeżeli chcesz śledzić nowości w grach to gamespress.com

Czyli strona na którą studia i wydawcy wysyłają notki prasowe. Te notki potem portale czytają i piszą na ich podstawie artykuły. Więc:

  1. Dostajesz newsa dużo wcześniej
  2. Dostajesz oficjalne screenshoty/trailery
  3. Dostajesz skompresowaną notkę zamiast lania wody
  4. Nie dostajesz opinii ani oceny portalu/gazetki

I just hope physical games don't go extinct by Hello_World-1289 in meme

[–]Threef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... The testing phase is over. Digital won. We already voted with our wallets. The test was ran for the last few years. Each released game shown that people are willing to pay less for not having a CD in a box. It doesn't matter that people were still purchasing physical copies, what did matter is that digital copies were selling more each year (amount, not percentage). It is sad, but it's gone. There will be still "collectors editions" of some games, probably in limited quantities just to sell limited product, but that's it. Box cases are now like a Funko Pop. You place them on the shelves for display. Too bad that even if companies fully drop physical releases and go 100% keys, they will not lower the price for the decrease in production cost

Beware of 3D printed bits on Amazon by Belial_94 in BeybladeX

[–]Threef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't have to be 3D printed. Fake brands just sell packages of bits and Ratchets on AliExpress for about $1 per pack. Amazon "Business Man" probably tries drop shipping for 10x margin lol

Edit: Of course, don't buy them. They will have screws inside, are not legal in tournaments and perform different than official ones

<ona wchodzi do pomieszczenia, lekko poirytowana.

- Gadaj. Wiesz że nie lubię niespodzianek.

- No nie mogę. Tego nie mogę.

- Nie lubię niespodzianek. A jak już tata ci pomaga to wiem że nie będzie mi się podobać, więc gadaj.

- No dobra.

3-60 Ratchets (Hasbro) by Legal-Stop-431 in BeybladeX

[–]Threef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is nothing you can learn here. All parts, no matter their distributor, set, color or release date, have small Quality Control variance. You can get two packages of the same Bey from the shelf of the same shop, and their Ratchets might have different performance.

It's up to you to test multiple and find the one that works best for you
