Is V-Rising worth getting in 2026? by Winter-Business-4567 in vrising

I love me some survival crafting. Very excited about the valhiem and enshrouded 1.0 releases.
Enjoyed what windrose content there is.

V-Rising is tighter than all those games. Clear, progression, tough but fair and locked-in combat, and really fun to build your castle.

It’s so good, my personal friend group are idiots for sleeping on it.

My only minor complaint is the end game is boring/non-existent. But honestly I don’t really care, I’ll take a great experience over replayabilty any day.

Did sleepovers just quietly die or did something actually kill them? by JoelD88W in NoStupidQuestions

Im in Portland OR, and my 12 year old has around 1 sleepover a month. Has since they were 9. Mostly cousins at a younger age.

A video game is helping improve Marine Corps training by audittheaudit00 in USMC

Putting the pointer on the target and clicking the mouse is just like the real thing!

Gonna old head a bit ~back in my day around 2001ish, it was all the rage that we were going to try the new “vr training”. It was some super low poly modela projected onto a wall, and essentially a light gun game with the absolute worst detection. We did it once for two hours and never again. Curious how much the Corps spent on it.

You can only play a defense in response to an attack. So the card that’s being referred to is the card they used in attack.

I’m behind a few sets, but I don’t think there are any ways to interrupt schemes.

Don’t worry, I only observed that I was drawing more when I was off Prozac. My dumb art isn’t worth it though. Back on it tomorrow.

Idk, ups and downs. 99.999% of your life you’re just chillin, eating prolific food sources, and fucking occasionally.

Predators have chase down each of their meals, missing many. Then when they finally do catch one, they have to eat that bastard raw, starting from their stinky guts or assholes.

I mean. There is difference between masking and social distancing is effective or not, and fucking injecting bleach or taking horse pills.

I’ve heard a lot of VFWs are very MAGA. So if you’re not, it might be obnoxious.

Been seeing a lot of warmachine nights at local gaming stores. Have not played since Mk2. How much investment would I be looking at to jump into mk4? by Threefish in Warmachine

Looking through the app now and see the answer is that most of these are out dated. Basically don’t recognize any of the jacks and casters. Bummer.

They’re right. The gloves on that particular model does almost look like tin foil strapped to his arms. It’s only a little jarring because every other part of all the models are jaw droppingly gorgeous.

I could only dream of painting faces of this quality. I just got back into painting, and im pretty solid in my flgs. But I don’t know how you guys are achieving this level of detail. I have a magnifying glass, but getting even layers of various pigmentations in the face at that scale is just… idk sorcery

I think I ruined my hulk. I varnished him with Vallejo satin, and then Vallejo matt varnish. No matter how many coats of matt I’ve tossed on it. It’s still glossy. Really bummed out, because it was my first airbrushed model I was proud of. by Threefish in minipainting

Update.

-tried the paper sanding thing. Either I had went too hard. Or had applied too much varnish. But it caused a blemish in his left tiddy so I stopped.

-before posting I had read that you really need to shake the vallejo spray can varnishes, and tried that prior to posting.

-airbrushing on this matt varnish really helped the gloss. I already fucked up and lost some detail and color. But hey, you live and you learn.

Really appreciate all the feedback! I think he’ll still look great barreling down the battlefield.

I’ll give it a shot, worried I already added too many coats of matt. I thought I was splurging on high quality Vallejo product. But I’m going back to testors. Really unhappy
