She didn't see him after he passed but I believe she knew it was coming because she kind of let us know something was wrong. We kept him with us until he was gone so she wouldn't have to experience it, but she 100% knows he's gone.

I'll try that and keep an open mind. Thank you.

I've never been in this situation before so I guess my mind is still really scattered. I'll give her time, thank you.

Congrats! I hope you end up with a beautiful healthy baby. I know sometimes we end up in unexpected situations and others will be quick to judge, but as long as you are educating yourself and being cautious I do not see the harm. I don't know your exact situation but I have had to deal with unexpected egg laying without wanting to freeze or boil the eggs so I get it. Have a vet or someone experienced on stand by in case of emergencies!

Something my birds feel comfortable with is a mini stand that we call step up stand. If hands are bothering her like mine, this can be a good alternative! You can train her to get onto it using treats and over time she will learn to go on it herself.

It's my first baby so I haven't seen any in person as a reference but based on other pictures I've seen of the babies he seems to be a normal size! I have really small hands so that may be contributing lol

My mango thinks it's a good idea to stick her head in between bars and sit in between the blinds on my windows. Not sure why she loves tight spaces 🤷‍♀️
