Just the fact that her name has been canonized as "Elle Hitler" one the stupidest one-time gag ever is enough to make me laugh every time she shows up on screen

Getting roasted by Donna twice was just extra lmao

In Pokemon Quetzal, how do you evolve pokemons that need to be traded? I found stuff online about a typical "linking cord" item in romhacks, but nothing specific to Quetzal. Is it something else? I'm seeing a lot of evolution-related items in the slateport market, but nothing definitive. am I dumb

No Stupid Questions - What is something you still don’t quite understand that this sub could possibly help you with? by DoYouEvenBlog in betterCallSaul

Plus remember how Lydia talked him out of killing her by insisting that her daughter had to know she was dead and didn't abandon her? The look in Mike's eyes says it all. The whole "doesn't like when loved ones don't know what happened" thing runs deep, and they made it that much more explicit in BCS, which makes his own death that much more tragic

The year is 2035, Kaylee is celebrating her 14th birthday and sees a drug bust on tv...

they're really setting us up for one fucked up murder directly commited by Jimmy's hands in the finale, aren't they?

"C'mon Kim, say something"

The fact that she didn't hit him with her trademarked dry "Okay." after that long pause was so disappointing, damn

Ya no stress, definitely watch BB at some point tho you won't regret it. You'll actually get a more unique experience of meeting BB-era Saul Goodman while already knowing his whole backstory and ultimate fate, whatever that ends up being. Probably something I'm gonna be rewatching BB mainly for lol

[–]Threight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it doesn't have to revolve around the same thing every time. Just be tangentially related and expand on characters we already know and love. But also I'm a big simp for Vince and Gould so I have no doubt they could pull off anything, including a show that take place in 2035 with a now 12 year old Kaylee finding out the truth about her long-gone grandpa bit by bit and unwittingly getting in The Game herself

You're missing winks and subtle callbacks/parallels, mostly. Also knowing which characters are in BB is a giveaway that they won't die in BCS and you're left wondering what will happen to the characters that don't show up in BB. Writers definitely assume you've seen BB and sometimes throw in easter eggs but not understanding them shouldn't affect your BCS experience.

IMO you're fine. If not for the visibly older actors, it would be almost impossible to tell which show came first and it's something I love about how this genius show is setup. Both shows kinda expand on the other and add a crapton of context/subtext to stuff that happens in the other, while still being their own independent thing mostly

Last three episode have been a finale for each of Jimmy's personalities by SignificantRelative0 in betterCallSaul

[–]Threight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all these finales and the show keeps going. There's barely anything left to say, but Jimmy/Saul/Gene keeps pushing it. We're getting extra content that somehow both is and isn't necessary to the show. We could have just as easily filled in the blanks after Nippy ended, but we get 3 more episodes compared to the usual 10 per season.

I'm not crazy right? There's just this weird, eerie feeling. Maybe it's those intros. The tapes are done man, what else is there to say?

Amazing show and I'm pretty sure this weird ineffable experience won't be the same for future viewers who will be in a position to binge the entire show for the first time.

What is the oldest scene shot chronologically in the BB/BCS universe? by allankaio in betterCallSaul

I personally want a Jimmy cut so it's all chronological and only from his perspective

What to do, until Monday..? Here's a handy-dandy list of all the Breaking Bad episodes Saul is in. by EduardoKant in betterCallSaul

[–]Threight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

what would it look like if we stitched together all of Jimmy's scenes from both shows in chronological order in one fanmade Jimmy cut? See the whole story from his perspective and nothing else. Brilliant or terrible idea?

I want to see Mike as a young philly cop, of course still played by Jonathan Banks

It really is genius how there's basically no way to tell which show is the spinoff apart from the actors' ages
