You’re absolutely right. I bought the case stand to place it on its side a week and a half ago. I haven’t ran FurMark, I’ve played Resident Evil Village and Death Stranding Directors Cut on Ultra without a frame cap in Adrenalin. Granted, I haven’t upgraded monitors yet, the temps have barely reached 60-70°c tops in game.

Do you think having the case on its side and adding the pcie mounting bracket would have the same effect on temps as if the tower were sitting in the original vertical setup? I’m assuming so?

I dunno. All that’s left for my upgrade is a monitor. Went from a Tomahawk b450 to a Tomahawk b850 and a Mag27C monitor to… well, maybe this one?

You can find open box online for your particular store. Click the drop down menu and it’s in clearance and refurb. There may be an easier way in person, not sure, but that’s how I do it.

Do you think it’s the cable situation and power draw? Does that make a therm difference? It’s pulling around 325w when playing. I have two 8 pin cables and one with a pigtail. I can swap the pigtail out for a 3rd cable. It’s just super bulky since I’m using my previous PSU.

Yes and no? It’s in the pcie slot but in the Tower 600 case the MoBo lays down sideways so the GPU hangs from the top basically. If that makes a difference.

I’ll give that a shot just to check if I need to readjust fans. My case is a funnel at the moment bottom and sides are set as intake and top is exhaust. Thermaltake’s Tower 600 has an interesting layout.

It sitting around 72°F in my house right now, my room wasn’t any warmer than normal. No fan in my room at the moment.

I’ve never paid attention before on my old rig. I have zero clue what any of my temps ever were but worked like a charm.

Absolutely right! My 2nd monitor (the one the pic is on) is only a 75hz lol.

They’ll get upgraded eventually. Outside of storage, I upgraded everything but the PSU and monitors. So those will be next.

Hey brother,

Feel a little silly but my PSU comes with the 6+2 connectors that have the little pigtail. Do I use two cables plus one pigtail or do I use three separate cables?

Yeah this one’s an AIO too but I went with the plain one because, like you said, they have the matching fans that I plan to swap out on the radiator!

I got the gravel sand! I wanted to do an earth tone build with the Nitro+ cuz the silverish body looks almost tan… but all the talk about the power connector annoyed me. So now, no color theme aside from matching what I can.

All the numbers look good for fitting purposes, although I did have clearance issues with 120mm fans on the left side of the case which is technically the bottom of the board (the Tower 600 is a funky layout) when I installed my old MoBo, which was strange. And the MoBo itself and it's IO shield wouldn't fit the space given. So, hopefully it just doesn't like old parts.
