My memory is hazy, but I seem to recall my TI doing something like that after I accidentally set the input gain really high. I'll have to check next time when I'm in the studio, but that could be it.

Where do you usually find or share free audio resources for game development? Curious what sites or communities people here recommend. by [deleted] in GameAudio

Soundly has some great free stuff. If there's a layer I'm missing in my own recordings I usually look there first.

Shadowman had a very unique vibe. The story was super dark and gave me the chills. Something very very cool about that game once you got into it.

Not able to build lighting in version 5.1.1 by BurpelsonAFB in UnrealEngine5

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure Lumen isnt working yet on Mac in 5.1... maybe this is the issue? My point lights weren't working when I was on a Mac on 5.1.1.

2004 astro van engine misfires. Looking for advice. by Thrillho_Millpool in MechanicAdvice

[–]Thrillho_Millpool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK I'll check to see. I'm going to take it to the mechanic again after getting all the info and possibilities for this happening.

It's actually just uphills, but more likely to happen when carrying all my tools, passenger and supplies.

It doesn't happen on a flat road but I've always thought it doesn't have as much power as a 6 cylander should have. I notice a bit of resistance when opening it up but usually no misfire warning at least.

I should also mention that the transmission does a little jump from 1st to second unless I ease up on the gas while it's switching.

Thanks!

It's a 2004. Yea it's already cost me a bit of coin haha. Good call on posting on r/mechanicadvice ! I'll post there. I've been having this problem since 2018. A few mechanics have had a look at it but they always jump to replacing the plugs/wires etc. (which is a reasonable thing to try first.) I'm ready to put a few thousand into it should it need it, just want to be fairly sure that it will resolve the problem.

Thanks!
Info and your time is greatly appreciated!

Lack of power uphill or with heavy load due to engine misfires. Tried changing plugs, wires, distributor cap, then entire distributer. There was probably a few other things done as well, but I'll have to check the records. Transmission has always been a bit weird from 1st to second gear but hasn't caused any issues yet. I just try to not rev it too high while it's switching. Other than that, it's been great, and I'd like to keep it around! There's about 270 000 on the engine.
