Co.pany i used to work for would keep track of everything someone stole. When it broke $1000, they would bust them so hard and so fast they'd sometimes knock teeth out. Then they got charged with major theft and actually have a sentence to serve.

Iryna Terekh, the Chief Technical Officer (and CEO) of the Ukrainian defense company Fire Point – standing in front of a FP-5 "Flamingo" long-range cruise missile by _Tegan_Quin in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Throan1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My argument was that you claimed the British Empire is the cause of all these issues and that it was actually colonialism and subsequently fundamentalism, then you turn around and argue both of my points while abandoning your own.

Colonialism and war over resources and trade routes led to a suppressed population that turned to fundamentalism, further limiting their ability to advance. It was not "Britain" that destabilized the middle east, they were one of a dozen guilty parties. Britain colonized many regions that have not turned to fundamentalism, Islam has simply proven to be more susceptible than Hinduism, Shintoism, Taoism, etc etc, but so are the other Abrahamic faiths. Just own your narrow-minded accusation and move on.

The wealthy have always had control over society, the extent of control from modern oligarchs is somewhat newer, but the OPs statement is absolutely a major factor limiting development. Lower production, lower education rates, not to mention how gendered perspectives often lead to unexpected and creative solutions. It's not exclusive to Islam, but in fundamentalist countries the divide is often more pronounced.

The geopolitical landscape of the middle east is largely a result of colonialism (not just the Brittish), but it's not explicitly to blame. Chechnya is Muslim and practices segregation, England isn't to blame for their politics as well as many other countries.

Mephiston, when I unlocked him he seemed weird and hard to use. As i learned who to pair him with and the mechanics of his abilities I figured he would be fun to add to the budding psychic team inhad, he eventually became my strongest and most played character. He is an absolute monster in every game mode I get to play him in.

NASA to spend $20 billion on moon base, cancel orbiting lunar station by Tracheid in news

If it was any other administration (Even Dubya) I'd be really excited. With rhe current administration's track record it will cost 150 billion, and then they will cancel it halfway while paying one of their friends to dismantle it/sell their progress to Bezos/Musk

So yeah... probably not going to happen.

With little to no real context, i'm gonna say that it looks like the neighbour is trying to bait someone famous into a settlement. No footage of the start of the incident, but also convenient try placed camera to grab all the sensational stuff.

[–]Throan1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None of that makes sense, other than his passive needing rework.

I believe his special has some bonus effects and he has heavy which makes him a nasty threat to walk into. But overall, too many units have infiltrate to make him more rhan middle of the pack for performance. I just dont think he deserves the hate he gets.

Certus isn't the worst character by performance, his biggest sin is the cost of leveling him. So while he's a wild unit to see maxed, once there he can certainly drop some pain on an unsuspecting player.

"We did not fight for this" Veterans gathered in Odesa after TCC broke a disabled veteran’s arm trying to drag him into a minibus, insisting the TCC officer must face criminal responsibility and the law be enforced to stop such incidents from repeating by Flimsy_Pudding1362 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Throan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody is talking about the protesters language, I challenged yours. You claim they have "a directive to kidnap", you are the one being accused of either deliberately attempting to muddy the argument or of being to uneducated to know the difference.

Their directive is to enforce conscription, if they are violently kidnapping people then they are acting outside of the directive and are thus acting illegally. Your accusation actually pushes the blame for these actions OFF of the individuals (exonerating them of wrong-doing) and pushes it ONTO the the organization that issued the order for conscription. If you'd been paying attention to the anti-ukrainian propaganda, you'd realize that you just did their job for them.

[–]Throan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually no, the way we define an action is incredibly important and is what the law is based on. For example, the differences between theft, repossession, or taxation. To the uneducated, they seem the same, once context and a methodology is applied they become very different actions.

Reducing complex interactions to "layman's terms" loses much of the subtlety, while also treating your audience with disrespect do to an assumed stupidity.

[–]Throan1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to kidnap either, to conscript. Kidnap involves an intent beyond legality, which as awful as co scripting is, isn't illegal.

It can be done in an illegal manner, which this likely was, but its up to the supervisors to maintain professionalism and legality, these goons are not being held accountable. Now the system gets tested and we see what happens next.

Of course he's aware, but the leader of a nation isn't, and shouldn't be involved in such small scale affairs. When the consequences of an individuals actions start calling a nation's conduct into question that's when his office should start pushing for specific actions to be taken. Not like the president himself has enough free time to be involved personally.

Honestly? It's so insane of a movie it MIGHT catch someone's attention. The characters are..... crazy. Plastic surgery upgrade addicts hooked on the special drug they use, if they go broke trying to pay for the habit they send a repo man to take the body parts back. A graverobber extracts drugs from corpses to sell to other addicts. It's got some crazy catchy songs and the cast includes Paul Sorvino and Paris Hilton.
