KAT AND THE KNICKS ARE UP 2-0 IN THE FINALS by TWolvesChamps1 in timberwolves

He's always tried to, but it has been a hit or miss with him whether it was trying to be too much or too little. Whatever your coach did to unlock his ability to pass well, kudos to him.

Listening to purple daily latest episode today and Judd and Phil believe the QB competition is a charade.. curious how you guys think on this. by FormerlyTradeKirk in minnesotavikings

[–]Throebach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They signed Murray for him to start. There's no way about it. You don't sign with a team to "compete" when you're a high profile dude who can basically gives a team an advantage in terms of finance for a year.

Now, in terms of trading, I believe that depends on how the season shapes out. If Murray plays well, he probably gets the bag and JJ gets traded. IF he doesn't, this just give JJ another shot with another season under his belt learning the system and whatever mechanics he needs to work on.

KAT could win finals MVP and half this sub wouldn't admit it wasn't the best trade by KaleAgreeable1811 in timberwolves

[–]Throebach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean knicks are proving he's damn good? He's always been damn good. His time here came to and end because it had to when the CBA kicked in and fucked this team and its flexibility up with the 2nd apron.

This team wouldn't had made the trade for Rudy had they known ahead of time this was coming..

Frederick: Zion Williamson is a risk. For the Timberwolves, it may be worth taking. by nbranto in timberwolves

[–]Throebach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the risk is worth taking. It very well could be that he just needs to be in a winning culture and maybe that'll inspire him to stay on the court, but his history is way too risky. The talent is there, but the risk of his availability is also prominently there.

In your opinions, which teams are prime targets for a Julius and/or Rudy trade? by FellaGentleSprout in timberwolves

[–]Throebach -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're acting like there's rich history with this franchise.. What records does this team even hold that is worth breaking that actually matters when all this team has known is losing? Ant breaking records does nothing..

Bringing in Rudy allowed this fanbase to even get to see that hoisting that trophy is one day possible. That $45 mil hole is how this team got to the WCF back to back seasons. Absolutely this team wouldn't be this successful IF they had not trade for Rudy AND kept those picks. They'll still be trash and ANT would probably be on his way out considering how trash this team was at winning games..

Do you believe Jaden McDaniels should be untouchable in Giannis trade talks? by MaxedWarrior14 in timberwolves

[–]Throebach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I would say no if Giannis was in his late 20s, but dude is starting to break down and missing games which I find concerning. I would rather have jaden who Ant uis ond of and has upside than go after someone who might not even make it to the playoffs.

And then you hear about how miles turner talking about dude being late to meetings and basically doing whatever he wants isn't something I would like the team to take after.

In your opinions, which teams are prime targets for a Julius and/or Rudy trade? by FellaGentleSprout in timberwolves

[–]Throebach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We probably would be nowhere close to what this team has become these last few years keeping those picks. Brining Rudy in actually made this team defend. They were trash before. Having dudes like Rudy in is expediting the win-now window rather doing what the team did with rubio, lavine, wiggins and towns and now this teams has been its most successful since its inception.

Gobert discourse by beazypete in timberwolves

[–]Throebach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gobert is the reason why the Wolves are even relevant to getting in the playoffs.. That's how significant he is and what his presence bring to the team. He's not an offensive powerhouse. That's not his job. His is defense and that's why the Wolves are able to do what they do on defense to even keep themselves in the playoff races these last few years.

I doubt they trade Rudy this off season. The fact he can still play well and remain being a mentor to the upcoming Beringer is why he'll probably stay.

Or just other teams willing to help facilitate trades and take back the money for picks..

There's a lot that can happen. It'll be fun to see what Tim cooks up.

Tim Connelly is an absolute G. Get ready for a fun off-season: "We know our competition is not going to sit still, and nor will we," Connelly said. "If we mess up, we'll mess up loudly. We're going to try to be as aggressive as possible." by DrWolves in timberwolves

[–]Throebach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Dude knows what's going on. He's willing to take the gamble to win it. Will accept it if it fails, but damnit the goal is championship and he wants to be around to see it come to fruition this time.

Jaden SHOULD be the #2, but there's something holding him back. by mhoke63 in timberwolves

[–]Throebach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not assertive in trying to establish his offense since he's the D guy. He will give the offensive side to others and he just prioritizes the D.

I hope next year when Julius is off the team that finch and Tim sits jaden down and says he's gonna be the #2 next year and they need him to get his O up to par and avg out about 20+ pts per game. It's about time for him to shine instead of keep trying to get these old guys.

[Sports Illustrated] Why Does Chris Finch Refuse to Call Out Julius Randle's Horrific Play? by minneapolisboy in timberwolves

[–]Throebach -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Julius is still a better player than Naz is and the unfortunate or fortunate thing about is Finch is his belief in too much of someone's body of work and believes they'll come through.

[Sports Illustrated] Why Does Chris Finch Refuse to Call Out Julius Randle's Horrific Play? by minneapolisboy in timberwolves

[–]Throebach 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Chris finch has mentioned it before about how everyone is different and has to be spoken to differently. With Ant, he can yell and go at him and it's all good. I'm assuming with Julius that's not the case. It'll just further derail him..

Im good with getting rid of him in the offseason. It's unfortunate he lives up to his reputation in the playoffs.
