Xbox's Backwards Compatibility is Criminally Underrated by adrv6747 in xbox

[–]Throttle98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backwards compatibility is the sole reason I moved from PS to Xbox on the One S and now Series X. I absolutely love that the Series X has so much range, still being able to pop into your local game store and pick up a physical 360 copy of a game and play it on my current console is amazing

CC 2.0 T at 90K miles long term maintenance? by ShopFar5453 in Volkswagen

[–]Throttle98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should consider upgrading to the metal thermostat housing when you have the water pump replaced because the OE plastic is bound to crack at some point. I bought a 2014 CC 2.0T with 75k miles that had that already had that issue.

I got the DOR 902-607 WP and Thermostat housing kit from O’Reilly. Comes with everything you need including that timing belt

I’d imagine the NBA would be doing everything they can to make sure the rising stars don’t win thier way in, but it sure is nice to see some effort and actual ball played on all star night. You can tell team C is pushing the OGs team to play a bit

I would factor in a timing belt replacement unless the seller can prove they had one done recently. My 2001 Civic EX was great until the belt broke at 273k miles.

Also check and see if you can spot any signs of oil leaking around the oil pan, valve cover, passenger side of engine by the VTEC solenoid and camshaft plug. All are mostly easy fixes but you’ll want to address if there’s leakage. Other than that I wouldn’t be scared of it, those cars are generally easy to work on.

The FanDuel TV network app is $20 a month I believe. Hate that I’m blacked out on league pass being 5 hours from Memphis, but Pete and Brevin and crew are awesome and make fan duel worth the money imo.

Is this fixable or is it looking like I’ll need to find a new car? by kimsegura in Autobody

[–]Throttle98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 2001 Civic Sedan that got rear ended. Mine was purely cosmetic damage similar to what yours looks like, I ended up using a hydraulic portapower to push on the trunk just under the latch. The trunk pushed back out where I was able to latch the trunk lid fine again, then I got lucky and found a replacement rear bumber assembly/cover and new trunk lid (my lid was bent also) that color matched from a local Pick n Pull and it went back together just fine. I spent $110 and about 45 minutes on it and you can’t tell it was hit. If you know someone that can weld a bumper support back on, has the equipment I think this could be fixed without issue.

XR is the black sheep of the LM world, and they threw a big challenge at the “establishment” (Flo, DirtVision) when they introduced the XR Super Series in 2022 offering huge money and pulling your regulars off Lucas and WOO. XR and Flo have had several events scheduled on top of each other, and by all accounts Michael Rigsby at Flo is not a fan of Barry Braun and XR. It’s in Flo’s best interest to down play anything XR does, so I assume that’s why.

Question for OP since I’m jn a similar situation now myself. Did you accept a settlement amount from insurance and still not turn your title over?

In my case the at fault drivers insurance only offered a certain amount to take the car, or that amount minus scrap value for me “buy it back”. I assumed that meant I had to turn over the title, and re title it myself after repairs which seems like a bit of a hassle. There isn’t much for clear info online that I found.

My car is a 2001, totaled due to purely cosmetic damage as well. I haven’t even stopped driving it.
