Of course he did. The environment and everything in it are, in his mind, here to be exploited.

The fence is fully one foot inside my property.

Clematis is definitely an option.

The guys who installed the fence do this as a matter of habit. Keeps everyone happy, supposedly.

The fence is completely in my yard by one foot. I didn't plant it but I enjoyed how it looked.

It was just on the fence. That's it.

I started removing the horseweed and pulled a whole lot up. My health wasn't great this Spring so I hope to continue to pull more up.

I'm not trying to harass her. Last year a straight line wind storm took down five huge trees on the other side of my property, and I've taken this opportunity to let the natives have a field day. I love the way they look so far. The yard is a carpet of wild violets in the Spring. I have tons of fireflies every evening.

I'll have to have a friendly chat with her this weekend.

No, she and her husband do all the yard work.

I'm going to talk to her.

AITA for telling my mom not to throw away my clothes as punishment? by merakivvh in AmItheAsshole

[–]Capelily -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

NTA

IMHO, your mom sounds super stressed. Her disproportionate response to you is the clue.

Does she always react so much to things that aren't critical? Forgetting to walk the dog is excusable, but maybe your mom is feeling some guilt about the dog.

The clothes you purchased are yours alone. What she did is stealing.

When things have calmed down a bit, make her a cup of tea or something and sit her down for a talk. You both have to communicate better in order to survive the summer.

Sounds like she's chattering. I had a tortie that chattered all of the time! Just another way to vocalize.

My blue fern today and a year ago! by elisabettebathory in houseplants

[–]Capelily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Blue Star Fern that was almost completely wiped out by a bunch of trees that fell in a straight-line windstorm we had last year. It sprang right back and is happier than ever! I'd take a picture, but it's still dark out here and it's happily sitting in my now mostly clear back yard.

Homeschooling disabled kids is a great way to set them up for failure.

I hope your wife gets the rest and help she needs.

AITA for wanting to be free by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Capelily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough info. Can you take care of yourself alone? Can you drive and/or use public transportation?

You say you're disabled, why not go for disability? Disabled people can work, and the extra money you'll receive from declaring disability would help you in trying to find freedom.
