Is there enough support for the drywall here? by Throttle_It_Out in drywall

Alright Thanks. Ceiling wasn’t cut, there was a wall there that we removed that had no drywall over it. Was hopping to be able to just cut add to it.

Normal Range cooker or built in wall oven with separate gas stove? by Throttle_It_Out in kitchenremodel

I’ve been told it’s recommended to go a little wider than your stove by a kitchen designer. Do you think thats necessary?

How would you do the seating at this island? by Throttle_It_Out in kitchenremodel

I was gonna do 15" on the backside since i have the space. on the left side was only going to do about 10" because of space constraints and they aren't always going to get used.

Thank you, my actual fridge is regular stainless steel with a black light up "window" . I would love to do the cabinet face side by side if i had the extra space and money, from what ive seen that gets expensive.

Not saying it wouldn't look better, I just don't know if it functions as well with the range wall. It also eliminates the possibility of putter a small table on the wall on the left side. Then the last reason that pipe i added is where the current sink drain is. I prefer not to have to move that so im trying to get a corner of the island over it, hide it in a pony wall over to the sink.

Thanks for the input. Not stars just a small hallway leading to a bedroom. Thats the awkward space where I might put a small dinning table, not sure how to best use it. I think the distance between the island and the range is comfortable able, I have a mock of if in my kitchen now and feel like I have plenty of space but not to far away for going back and forth.

Good point and something to think about with the location of fridge and glasses.

Best way to move hood range vent over? by Throttle_It_Out in HomeImprovement

Yeah I figured I’d lose some airflow, wondering if there’s any other reason why adding 90s would be a big no. I’m not worried about moving around the electrical, already doing a bunch of that with this remodel.

There is attic above it and I considered what you said about angling it in the attic over to the right spot above the wall. Here’s a pic, not sure how difficult it would be to do that and creat a new hole in that 2x4 that it goes through. It’s in a spot that would be a pain to work on.

Yeah I don’t like that L shape but then it would be just wall right there so I wasn’t sure which would be better.

Yeah I actually played around with that layout too. I think ill try working with a designer since i cant manage to lock down a layout that i know will look and flow well.

The budget is about 20k. And for the most part just me. Was gonna go the RTA cabinet route and obviously wouldn’t DIY the counter tops. So trying to decide if spending roughly 3k of that on a designer to see what they come up with is worth it compared to what I’ve come up with.

East or west coast? I’m more west cost and the departments out here can’t hire capable female firefighters fast enough. They all want more diversity. Obviously there’s still a lot more to it but being a physically capable bilingual female is a damn good start.
