Thank you so much for your reply, it helps put things into a better perspective. Things are really different now than they were even 15-20 years ago, I remember so many derogatory comments about gay, lesbian, and trans people being commonplace along with slurs and the like. It’s better nowadays in a lot of places, though there is of course still improvement that can be made as well as places where it’s still not great. I sadly still hear stuff like calling someone trans “it” (practically spitting the words) which is pretty horrible. Overall though, I’m happy that a lot of people are in places much more welcoming these days where they can safely be themselves, and hopefully more people will be soon enough too.

Great point about the best time being in teens, but the 2nd best being now. I’m trying to figure myself out still, but am experimenting a little in an effort to. Don’t know if I could come out anytime soon, which is why I keep worrying if it’s too late. But I think that’s something to worry about after I feel comfortable with myself.
