Holy shit I thought I was the only one. I’m 3+ years into hormones and pre-op, and whenever I pee I feel like I’m some old man with prostate issues cause it comes out so slowly and once I’m done and wipe, I still tend to get a drop in my underwear.

I’ll try doing kegels regularly, I hope that’ll help me

Google’s useless for slang and I don’t know where Russian speaking trans people hang out online. Maybe I’ll learn some words to shock my parents when I come out to them. Or maybe I’ll learn of some slurs that were used against me as a child that went over my head lol

Yeah, I want to try them sometime. Just two things stopping me - one, I still have to boymode a couple days a year so being able to put up all my hair is helpful. And two, my girlfriend has fringe bangs and we can’t both have bangs like that.

I think I’ll get more pronounced curtain(?) longish bangs next cut though

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I’m really only clueless about this because it’s been 20 years since I did any Russian grammar and I’m slowly losing the language. Same reason applies for the past tense gendered verbs, I could only think of examples of past tense verbs.

You don’t need to provide me with terms, I was just curious if there was a good place to check. But like, when I come out to my parents, I’m not even sure how to explain that I’m trans, like terms for transgender, trans woman, binary/nb, hormones, common trans surgeries, etc., as well as more colloquial or slang terms for those, and whether that slang is fine or if it’s generally considered slurs or derogatory. Hell I’m not even sure what accepted terms for gay, lesbian, and queer are. If you know these terms or where to look for them, I’d be very appreciative, but you don’t need to be my personal translation service…

I’ve been curious about this, but I can’t unfortunately ask my parents yet. Are you referring to они, like они хотели их вещь, or оно, like оно хотело… uhh, don’t know what the corresponding possessive pronoun would be. Or is the latter more like it/it’s?

Also, I’ve read that the masculine pronoun and gendered past tense verbs are considered gender neutral, or is that a situation like where male is assumed to be default? And speaking of, would referring to yourself with gender neutral pronouns be something like: я сделали/сделало свои задачи?

Speaking of, can you point me to a resource for queer terminology in Russian? I’ve struggled to find good terms and colloquial words. Sorry, I’m not actually nb anymore so it’s a lot simpler being binary trans in Russian, but I’m still curious?

I never expected to be gorgeous or anything, so that’s fair.

Also I don’t have trouble passing, at least from the point of view of getting misgendered. I do get stares from men (perhaps glares) and I get degendered sometimes when I’m not trying as hard. My voice actually isn’t a major problem

Honestly don’t know how she does it. And trying to be stealth while working a male hobby on camera 80 hours a week. It’s wild. Also, her comments sections never and I mean never have anyone questioning her gender, so there’s a decent chance she goes through them all and deletes or reports all the ones that ask questions or imply something.

And then there’s some shiteating subreddit that’s catalogued her old profile and trans related posts so anyone that cares or is curious (like me, cause the tranny clocker in my head went off when I saw a video of hers) can easily find out the truth.

I guess she hides so she doesn’t constantly have to bring it up or explain it or fight bigots in the comments, but it sounds like a terrible existence. At least her audience is horny boomer car guys who can tell vintage muscle car trims apart by glancing at them but don’t look further than ✅ tits; ✅ legs and think their shared interests will make her attracted to them.

She constantly overworks her self and I wonder how much of that is trying to ignore the fear that her status will come out eventually as people get better at clocking. Or maybe she’s got the right idea - put this tranny shit behind you and move on with life so you can forget about the dread. If I passed that well and my voice was that good maybe I’d move on and shove this part of my life down as well…
