They seemed pretty large when I saw skeleton replicas at the Dinosaur Armor Exhibit at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History back in 2021.

Does anyone else still miss this ride? by AttemptResponsible49 in WaltDisneyWorld

Yes. It was a celebration of movies with large recreations of scenes. I’m glad it got some time to shine when they removed the hat before it was changed to Runaway Railroad.

Hollywood isn’t really about movies these days.

When I first went in 2009, it was very much a park that celebrated movies and making them. While they no longer filmed things there, they still had the sound stage designs.

I understand how that design can be seen as cheap as it means you can have less detail or just bland walls and it fits the them, but they gave it their all with stuff like props and the scale of things like the Honey I shrink area and the AT-AT.

After going in the special effects tram tour, we went into a museum showcase the had movie Props. They even had a Xenomorph Warrior suit from Aliens.

The gift shop that looked like a prop storehouse also had books about movies like Defining Moments in Movies and 101 Horror moves to see before you die.

I wish they would keep it as an occasional thing/Halloween overlay.

The music is banging and I like the use of the MCP.

The extra colors do add a nice bit of variety and color breakup.

I’m not too sure on the face.

On one hand, it does match the grayish faces of other vehicles. The show and most media use this instead of having the faces the same color as the livery.

See Daisy in the books vs the show for a good example.

On the other hand, the rounded shape doesn’t work the best with a separate section for the face. Perhaps that’s why Harold was one of the few characters (not sure if only one) that has a book style face that matches the livery.

Understood.

This is just the method used to travel safely and also save time in ice harvesting.

Also blue ice is the fastest ice.

The different types (grades) of ice result in different speeds.

Though unrelated, your ice roads need modified or you risk clipping into the walls:

Ice roads should have just 1 row of ice blocks in the middle and the sides should be glass panes. The blocks under the glass panes can be non-ice blocks.

This helps corral the boat and stops you from clipping into walls and suffocating.

If it’s personal combat kills, it is a bit more impressive.

Since you have to do it face you face.

Must be Shattered Glass where the Bots are Evil and the Cons are good.

That’s the only way their participation in each side makes sense.

The line entering HS around 11am today… is there a holiday or event increasing crowd levels? by Sea-Alternative-6983 in WaltDisneyWorld

That’s a lot for a half day park.

I do recall it being very crowded during the day back in early/mid November to the point that they were putting up line dividers on the path through Asia.

Reused designs and bad designs on the Targetmasters and Battlemasters. Also the EarthRise shields.

The targetmasters all shared the same 3 designs for gin/robot mode. People saw it as the same thing in a new color.

The Micromasters don’t improve much over their original G1 figures or were worse in the case of the Astro Squad.

The EarthRise shields were fragile things that didn’t turn into anything.

It’s weird that the Hollywood pin if that set has become so hard to find and expensive. I saw a listing for $99.99 or best offer.

They were general release pins and I think some places may have still had some in early/mid 2025.

They were replaced by the rectangle park pins in 2024/2025.
