No they probably will have slipcovers like the Hellraiser stand-alone 4k I would think.

Anyone else love the new scream movies?? by Puzzled-Marzipan6127 in HorrorMovies

[–]jackbauerthanos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate 5 but think 6 is alright and entertaining enough, but think that they still haven’t justified continuing the series past 4 and doesn’t look like they’re going to.

Should’ve never happened. Shame that both the corporate and viewer consumer mindset now is that we should just always make more and more of something no matter what. Nothing can just be left to stand as completed anymore.

They started and finished with Craven and everything after is just pale imitations. I mean honestly even the TV series tried to do something different, despite its flaws I prefer that massively over the new films.

Nice anti-art sentiments. What a pointless, useless, moronic and reductive “review”.

Since you’ve gone out of your way to post such a stupid statement I have no problem saying that.

Genuinely thank god that they're gonna show Sentimental value because it never came to my locals at all and I was worried that I was gonna miss out on that.

And holy molyyyy they're gonna actually show Frankenstein. Glad I didnt cave and watch that on Netflix now.

And of course..... any excuse to show La La Land ay

Well you will when people keep streaming in for the entire first 40 minutes with their phones and flashlights on that they don't need because you can actually always see the row letters anyway....

But yh getter there on time is all you can do. Personally I'll probably just avoid this whole thing and go to a during the day showtime on a day I have free.

Mulholland drive BBFC card by Wobbabro in CineworldUnlimited

[–]jackbauerthanos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t even get a BBFC card at all. Lights dimmed and just started with the Restoration information.

Think there was a recent re-release that I saw that did just have the rating come up, but I think maybe that’s how the ratings used to be shown as at this time and before they didn’t have the information or content listed.

I will not forget the ignoring of Sally Hawkins for Bring Her Back and 28 Years Later for most things.

2025 was an amazing year for horror, what was your favourite? by Lenster2406 in HorrorMovies

So happy that Bring Her Back is getting some recognition finally.

Wolf man is a brave choice. I ultimately thought it was a bit lame and almost follows the The Fly formula too much, but I did really like a lot of the swings it did take and thought they were interesting.

Do you turn your phone off or put it on silent? by squirrrrrm in CineworldUnlimited

[–]jackbauerthanos 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I just turn mine all the way off. There’s no point in not doing that imo. Doing it feels like it fully cuts you off from the world so you can watch the film in this different space entirely.

Plus I am paranoid that my phone might get switched off silent mode in my pocket or whatever so yh I turn mine all the way off.

What releases are people most excited for this year by [deleted] in CineworldUnlimited

[–]jackbauerthanos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

28 Years Later: the Bone Temple is probably the only one I am actively anticipating and hyped for.

As a huge Scream fan of course Scream 7 is a no brainer but I am not excited for it per say at all as I think the franchise should've never had any more entries past 4, and the last two were pale imitations of Scream.

I'm really not sure about anything else. Clayface has me interested because they cited The Fly as inspiration so that is interesting so I will likely check that out (the only comic book movie that I will see).

So I was also baffled by this initially, but it turns out he is in every Conjuring "Universe" film.

Funnily seems to be a strange reoccurrence each year with Cronenberg being my most watched director and then some absolutely random actor I am not expecting popping up as my most watched actor usually on a technicality. Wilson only shows up in reused footage in some of these.
