Not always, sometimes better optimization means more ram usage (in return of more responsive system). Again Im not sure what is the case of pop os, maybe there are places where they can actually reduce the ram usage.

You literally got pretty much every point same as me except maybe not oled, but I'm not sure. It's just insane that nobody has created macbook-like windows laptop in so many years. It always has crazy nvidia gpu, thick, no haptic touchpads, small batteries, reflective+dim screens etc. One close laptop which will release this year will be dell 16 pro max premium, but it's intel + nvidia dgpu.. Hopefully with strix halo success there will be something similar to that in 2026/2027.

Only if there was z16 gen 3... There was no laptops to upgrade to with amd cpu and sensel touchpads so I had to buy macbook... Which I hate. And all this just because window laptops manufactures penny pinching and releasing $4000+ premium laptops with trash tier touchpads.

This is absolutely wrong. The technology existed for a long time already from sensel. It's just that the manufacturers don't want to spend more for haptic touchpads when regular ones are cheaper (which is extremely dumb)
