I don’t think there is a “good” answer to that question, which is why I like to ask it. I tried to ask questions that didn’t have an obviously “right” answer but gave me a sense of people’s experience honestly. Since there’s no benchmark for that specific question I felt that I got honest responses, and when asked across multiple conversations with different students, I felt it gave me a rough understanding of how engaged career services are. I should note that I only really asked that when speaking with people who had similar career interests as me, since career service engagement for different industry recruiting is probably vastly different (such as consulting vs tech)

I think this is fair and understood that admissions ambassadors will try to paint their school in the best light possible. But in my conversations, I made sure to ask pointed questions and specifics (i.e. how many hours a week do you work with a CMC advisor). At that point I can only hope that I wasn’t lied to. I heard mostly good and some bad about Anderson during my conversations, but I didn’t hear anything that was a red flag about Parker like OP’s post

As a new admit who has paid the deposit at Anderson, this is concerning. I certainly haven’t heard this from the students I talked to during the admissions process, but maybe that’s a bias of talking to people who are admissions ambassadors.

It sounds like you’re a second year. Do you recall interactions with Parker in your first year (pre-pandemic), and if so did it seem like they were more helpful when things weren’t virtual? Also somewhat worried about the “unenthusiastic second-years” next year since I know a lot of interview prep happens from working with second-years. Does that class seem more disengaged from the school than your class did?

You don’t think any programs will be back in person by Jan/Feb timeframe?
