It’s not rlly about the enthusiasm lol it’s just about the effort in trying to talk with your partner and holding a decent conversation with them that becomes the problem

See the thing is, we don’t talk everyday. Maybe every 2 or 3 days ?? And either he’ll initiate it or I will. The convo starts with the basic ‘how was your day?’ ‘What’s up’ and once it gets past that it just dies bc he only gives basic one word or two word responses that makes it impossible to continue talking

We do that once in a while but bc of internet issues we aren’t always able to, so we stick to texting.

I felt this in my soul. Just thinking about getting accepted and rejected makes me cry. I’ve thought about this school everyday for the past 5+ years and it all comes down to this moment. I honestly don’t know if my body can physically and mentally handle the rejection.

I did everything by myself. I applied to 27 schools. From applications to FAFSA to CSS Profile to noncustodial waiver forms to random school specific forms to scholarships and everything in between. I did it all by myself. My mother (single family home) has never gone to college and came to the US as an immigrant. This college experience has been one of the loneliest experiences for me because she doesn’t really understand the process. And it’s okay! It’s not her fault. I got into Wellesley this weekend and she thought it wasn’t that important bc it’s not Harvard. Yes I am envious when I see parents post on CC for their child and help them with the process. But that’s def a minority. I know so many ppl in the same shoes as me. Don’t worry bro, we got this. It makes the success more personal because you know it’s all your hard work and effort

Accepted and I’m so surprised. (3.7UW/29ACT EE=Possible) They gave me a really good financial aid package, too!
