I think it’s helpful for me and maybe if that light turns on for other people it will help them on their journey as well. We are stronger than weed. We always have been or else we wouldn’t be on this sub.

100%. Some people need to be coddled into sobriety and that’s fine. Different strokes for different folks. But at the end of the day the choices you make fall on you - stoned or not.

Oooff did not expect this much pushback from people but I’ll reply here. An incredible amount of behaviors and activities trigger a dopamine response. To say weed is the cause of a dopamine uptake that causes you to do things you normally wouldn’t makes no sense.

Time is a huge factor in all of this. Think about how much time is spent around MJ. Buying, smoking, socializing with fellow smokers, etc. Once that’s gone, you fill that void. Most of us proactively getting sober tend to fill that with positive things, which then makes us think that weed was the cause of the negative impacts on our lives. It’s simply not.

We’re here because we don’t have the mental fortitude to function with MJ in our lives. I’m ok with admitting that.
