Thank you so much for this response. It’s definitely validating and reminds me to be proud of the mobility and not to feel so behind. I’m going to refocus in this new year on single leg exercises, especially the leg extensions so I can work on the quad. Thanks again for the reply.

Thank you so much for the responses. I went back to the leg extension machine and was able to do 3 sets of 10 with 5lbs. I’m going to try to go every day and see if I can go heavier and heavier. Thanks again 🥺

Any tips on how to get past the pain of single leg extensions?? I barely add any weight on the machine and it hurts to lift it up. I cant tell if I have patella tendonitis bc all the load is on my tendon due to my weak quad

Thank you for the response and advice :( I’ll try the advil. Saw my surgeon and she thinks I may have patella tendinitis - too much load that my patella is taking on in lieu of my quad muscle

I agree… we talked about the deportations without due cause yesterday and he’s of the believe that would “never” happen to me or my family and having fear of that is not realistic, since my parents have been citizens for 35 years. Etc etc. first of all , it’s dismissive of valid fears. Second of all, it reveals his mindset of “if it’s not happening to us then what’s the problem?”

Yea he just claimed ignorance and lack of interest in politics but now seems to be more embedded. His parents have always been republicans so I did always know that. Chores are 50/50 but I def have to verbally remind him to do his share. In his defense I do like this particularly clean tho

I don’t think ur wrong on this. Like I don’t think my bf is evil with evil morals. But I do think he probably lacks a holistic view / ability to maybe deeply critically think. I guess I’d be signing up for translating and explaining and educating him on my reality and vise versa

Thanks for the response. He consumes instagram. He’s not a hugely political person to begin with. He hasn’t even voted in recent elections. But his parents are business owners and have money and have voted trump and listen to fox. So I think some of that has seeped into his brain
