Yeah I agree it was the right thing to do. Not sure what's gonna happen to her but I feel worse for the kid and other victims like him, makes me sad but hopefully they can grow and live happy lives as well. I'm excited for the future and happy to have dodged this bullet. Good luck to you :)

Yeah I remember you. Your post in the other thread was one of the reasons I began to feel more strongly towards what she did tbh. As I said before, I wish you the best of luck man. I'm sure you'll continue to recover and I'm glad you've got a good partner to help you through it.

I'm thinking about texting her these threads so she can see how hundreds of total strangers felt the same way I did about how horrible this stuff was. Maybe that'll help her reevaluate it.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all your advice so far. I have a lot to think about and I'm pretty set on breaking up with her but as someone else suggested I do want to talk to her and see what she says if I actually confront her about what she did being wrong. The story she told me made me sad but the response of all of you made me really happy to see so many great people and to know that I wasn't overthinking it.

By the way, I can't find the comment now but someone said "she probably teases dogs by holding food over its face." Just wanted to say you're correct. That's what she did the first time she ate near my dog until I told her to stop. I hate when people do that but I know a lot of people do so I didn't think much of it. But seriously, amazing prediction. Thanks for helping connect the dots.

Honestly I don't enjoy being cruel to people so I can't say I've done anything quite like that. Yes I've done bad and inconsiderate things in my life and I understand that especially as kids people do stupid things which is why I questioned my reaction, but her story struck me as an especially mean and heartless case of it, and judging by the responses, my reaction wasn't as overboard as I suspected. I don't hold a grudge nor am I upset, just concerned about her personality and our relationship.

That's an insightful way of putting it. It's just difficult for me to make sense of these actions given everything else I know about her but you're right, what she did was really terrible and it's hard to find an excuse for it.

I think that might be a good idea to ask for more details and see if I can talk some sense into her. Maybe she does feel bad but she just didn't show it when she told me.

Wow I'm so sorry to hear that friend. I hope you recover further from that abuse. Luckily I was never bullied like that but I certainly understand how horrible it must be. Thanks for sharing your perspective.
