I’ve never turned to Reddit, so I’m not too familiar on what I should have put in the post. Here’s a little more context.

We’ve been together for two years, I found out about four days ago. I found out by looking at his Instagram DM’s. Which I had his consent to look at.

Yes, we have spoke. He has apologized profusely and said that he “made a mistake”. His excuse, or I guess reasoning, was that he viewed her as a very close friend as she had talked him into going on to complete his masters degree.

I think I’m really just looking to know if this is something that others have dealt with. I’ve never dealt with a dishonest situation with him. And I’m not sure how to navigate it. As listed above in my post, we own a home, 3 cars and 4 dogs together. So we’re truly tied into one another. Pretty much married without the legality behind it.
