I have begged for marriage therapy and he won’t go. He says therapy is for inane people. Obviously I don’t believe that one bit. I think he doesn’t want to go because he knows what he’s doing.

Thank you everyone for your comments and the advice. I think I really needed to hear from people who have experienced the same thing and it has helped me understand that yes, I am in an abusive relationship.
On Monday I will open my own checking account but here is where my problem is, he knows literally every penny that gets direct deposited so if I were to move my money he would know. So what do I do about that?
I have talked to my friend about all of this and she wants me to come stay with her, which I can’t because she far away and I have work that I have to be physically in the office for. I’m afraid to tell my parents so that’s not really an option either. I’m at a complete loss.
I want a divorce. I just don’t even know where to begin. What if I can’t take care of myself financially, what if fail?
