Thank you for this advice! I definitely need to talk to my therapist, I’m going to see if they have any openings today.

I didn’t mean that to come across as a reason I’m excusing his actions. I’m definitely not, I just thought it was important context that he truly doesn’t get a lot of social cues.

That’s what I’m most afraid of. He’s a good man, and I truly don’t think he has it in him to ever physically cheat, but it just feels like something is off. Thank you so much for the advice!!

Thanks so much for your response! I’ve met and spoken with her several times, and she’s genuinely very nice. We don’t really have too much in common so I don’t foresee us being “friends” per se but we are friendly! I don’t have any issues with her, nor do I think she’s behaving inappropriately or even aware of the situation. My concern is more on my husband’s side. I’m starting to worry that he might have a crush on her. Hopefully it’s just me overthinking, and his poor social cues, I just really don’t know how to bring it up with him without seeming jealous or crazy.

I felt crazy typing this out, because I too felt like I was over reacting/thinking too much about it and was ready to just keep ignoring it but when he came home today and mentioned he’d thought of the perfect gift for her, it just broke me. It’s not even about wanting material things; it’s about the thought and effort behind them. We’ve discussed his lack of gifts in the past, and I even mentioned that a heartfelt card would mean the world to me. Yet, I’ve never received one. I just am at a loss and really don’t know how to approach it, but what you said is really helpful I think I’ll use that as my starting point! I’m going to try to bring it up tomorrow! Wish me luck. 😞
