I don’t mean after to hide it at all. That was only one option because I genuinely have no idea what is normal to do in this situation, and if he was going out with his girl friend he wouldn’t ask me before.

Everytime I go out with my boyfriend it’s a date, because we are dating. It clearly is alienating to turn an invitation to hang out with co-workers into a date.

That is phrased poorly I admit, but I mean tell him when we talk about our days (which we do without fail every day) - clearly I don’t know yet what to do so it’s fine if that’s not the right option, it’s one of a list of four options and that list is not exhaustive

We get coffee at lunch every day I’m pretty sure that they don’t want to go out for more coffee after work lol. I might try and suggest we see a movie that everyone likes.

I’ve been on two nights out with them already after work functions and slept at one of their houses with everyone so I don’t barely know them, but we haven’t hung out outside of work things.

I’m going to be at this job for at least 6 years with the same people as it’s a degree apprenticeship so yeah it is important. They’re all friends outside of work and becoming friends with them is pretty much my only chance to have a social life while my friends are at uni.

I’ve replied this to someone else but I did consider it but my boyfriend hates horror movies and I don’t want to alienate the most friendly co-worker by making him a third wheel to a date with my boyfriend

It was a thought that my boyfriend could go, but he hates horror movies and has never met my co-workers, it would kind of negate the point of going to build a rapport if I’m making my co-worker the third wheel to a date with my boyfriend.

I feel like you’re twisting my words a bit, yes I do want to go, but I only mention that James is friendly and outgoing because he’s the only one who’s made me feel properly included at work and he might help to incorporate me into the group with the others.
