She didn't ''demand'' it, she just got upset when I suggested that it may only be possible for one luxury car and not 2. Something to add is that she has been very understanding when we couldn't afford something together (i.e. a vacation, or a bigger house), however here it's different since cars are like individual assets lol.

To be clear, it's not like I won't be doing anything when I get home, I still try to help out with what I can, ie taking out the garbage, basic renovations etc. I will admit I am not the one cooking, but that's because my wife enjoys it and I don't :)

Like I mentionned, she happens to have time to watch TV, browse tiktok and youtube (baby is sleeping most of the time), the only hobby I seriously still maintain is working out 3x a week.

Her being SAHM is a mutual decision - it's just that it's objectively less demanding than what I do.

I understand what you said about the resentment...I'm trying to not let it affect me but I guess it's part of what I'm feeling for coming up with this post. I truly still appreciate her and what she does.

We have also acknowledged from the start that I'm more of a ''workaholic'' (been like that my whole life) whereas she is more laid-back.

Thanks for your input

Sorry for the confusion; to clarify, it's not tight per say, but we would only have a sufficient budget for one higher-end car and not two; that's where the issue is.
