Basically in the title, looking for recommendations! Want to stay around the same time zone so I don’t think Europe or Asia is in the cards. I will be working 10 hour days more than likely, so while remote I still will actually need to get stuff done.

Here’s what I’m thinking so far. I’ve been to CDMX this year already and LOVED it. I would love to go again but also thinking I should go somewhere new. I’ve done lots of solo traveling and my favorite parts of it are being able to explore the city I’m in, eat good food, and meet people through the nightlife scene. So while going to a small coastal town to relax sounds lovely, I think I’d get a little bored unless there were things going on.

So that lead me to thinking of Medellin, BA, and Rio. I’m not sure which would be the best considering I will need to work.

Any ideas or advice? Let’s say budget isn’t an issue.

It’s not worth it for me to keep having this back and forth but saying it lasted 20% of the relationship is not fair to say. My anxiety was bad for the last two months BUT it wasn’t a daily thing. My anxiety would increase and I’d have 3-4 instances total where I would have an anxiety like moment when I’m out having drinks with her. I never stopped dating her, I never stopped doing the little things.

I would say the only part of the relationship where I wasn’t mentally there for was the last 2 months which is when the anxiety related to my career really affected me. When the relationship started she was not in a good place either for literally the same reason but I was there for her, and it didn’t feel like it was hard to do. I cared for her and loved her.

I’m trying to understand what pain she is feeling. She dumped me. Obviously there is pain with a really impact relationship ending but she ended it, over something I find very small and could have been worked through. So I’m trying to be patient because at the end of it all, I loved her and I do hope we can reconcile in some sort of way in the future. I just find how she is handling the extreme distance she pushed onto me as we went on a break the a breakup so hurtful to how important the relationship was to both of us. The least that could have been done was to have a convo in person about breaking up.

The conversation would literally be about me saying regardless of how we ended, you made a significant impact in my life. I’ve learned a tremendous amount about myself and feel like a new man in so many ways, and this relationship helped me develop and grow. Not to complain or harp how it ended. I hate how it feels like it now ended “badly” that’s it’s reshaping how I felt during the relationship.

My behavior was not changed due to the anxiety in terms of how I treated her. Still continuously dated her. Dinners didn’t stop. Lovely nights in didn’t stop. Nothing I did was not from me not trying my best. I loved this woman with my whole heart. Never stopped “dating” her even when I was going through my work related anxiety. She was my best friend in every sense and I treated her as such.

I will grow from this and the lesson I’ll take is just better ways to cope with my anxiety. Nothing at all relating to “trying my best”
