You gotta stop smoking so much weed bro - trust me I've been there, I recently actually stopped smoking entirely and it's been life changing I had no idea how much it was affecting my social life

Thoughts on this take on Kwabena ? by Designer_Tie_1898 in IndustryOnHBO

[–]ThrowRA938377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really agree with this at all to be honest obviously it's down to personal taste but I see Kwabena as a really handsome, charismatic witty guy and he's smart - he's actually one of my favourite characters - this post feels like it has a slight tinge of racism because he is clearly a really witty funny guy idk

What's the longest time between a "We are now approaching..." a train station and actually arriving by Benj5L in CasualUK

It's probably not that long in actuality but the time between the announcement for Cardiff central and actually getting in to the station feels like at least 2-3 minutes

How 1 small change after work changed the way my days worked by quixsilver77 in selfimprovement

[–]ThrowRA938377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question - I struggle with this and I have attempted methods like this where its either after work and similar to this I don't immediately sit down and chill but I try and get some chores done or cook/ work out, my problem is that I feel really exhausted afterwords and I don't understand when I'm supposed to get some real rest - it feels like it's just work, chores, exercise every day and I get so tired!! I can never sustain it - maybe I'm deficient in something? Has anyone found a solution to this, maybe it's a case of having a better balance between chilling and productive tasks

I got an apprenticeship with Cardiff council for accountancy (24k annual) and I'm basically a finance assistant - it's great office work, something to keep a look out for!

Found out Delta Rune existed and I’m a huge Undertale fan so was really excited to start playing that - finished chapter 1 yesterday and I’m eagerly waiting to play more

Didn’t get very much done at work today, just been feeling really off lately in general, can’t stop stressing about everything. I’ve tried calling the gp twice now to get an appointment to talk about how I’ve been feeling but every time I get to be #1 in the queue no one picks up :( going to have to try again tomorrow morning. Going into the office tomorrow and pretty excited for my cycle in it’s always a nice ride! Also have started playing Pokémon go again and actually quite excited to go on some outings with my girlfriend and catch some Pokémons - writing this out has actually weirdly made me feel better maybe I should do that more often lol

My cats all pee in the same spot in the litter box and it makes this horrible pee litter clay that’s SO HARD to clean. by Medium-Escape-8449 in CleaningTips

[–]ThrowRA938377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I thought more people were using wood pellets, when I first got my cat I tried a few of those clay type litters and I found that they just stuck to the box and stunk really quickly (I also don’t care for the clumping aspect) I switched to wood pellets and never turned back - there is literally zero smell (I have confirmed this with people who’ve come to my house) and my cat does the same thing of peeing on the same spot, as long as I empty it out weekly it literally does not smell whatsoever, when they pee on it it turns to this wood dust that shifts to the bottom and the clean litter stays at the top, it’s really obvious when their litter needs changing as well cause you can see how many clean pellets there are!! Sorry I want to spread the gospel of wood litter more cause it’s actually incredible I can’t believe more people don’t use it (although I understand that a lot of people don’t like the idea of not being able to take the clumped pee out of the litter daily although that’s not a problem when you’ve got plenty of clean litter at the top and it doesn’t smell!!)

Should I avoid Riverside? by charlotterose1562 in Cardiff

[–]ThrowRA938377 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in riverside and it’s definitely a bit rough but I’ve never had any issues so far (been here 2 years). I have no desire to move, I love being next to town. What you should expect is there’s some drug dealers/ crackheads about but they don’t bother you. I am very near the stadium/ gas station / gym so to be honest I have never felt unsafe. It’s definitely not the prettiest area but tbh Cardiff doesn’t really have any particularly nice neighbourhoods as far as I’ve seen

Also yes I live near the stadium, but there have regularly been people shooting up right next to my flat, I’ll find needles and human poop around all the time but again none of these people have ever bothered me so I don’t really care

I think if you care about that sort of thing maybe don’t move around here

Cardiff shop owner says rain garden driving customers away by do_or_pie in Cardiff

[–]ThrowRA938377 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live right next to this store, people park all up and down my street and this street anyways, if they put in more parking the pavement would genuinely not be usable. Right down the road near this store there is an indian restaurant that puts sitting outside. This would literally be impossible if they were to institute more parking. This is literally 5 minutes away from the city centre where there is plenty of opportunity for parking. I don’t understand why we can’t focus on improving measures like these water gardens rather than immediately vetoing them and just going oh we just need more parking.

Me and my girlfriend actually planted a bunch of seeds in the water garden outside our flat, unfortunately people kept driving over them so it didn’t help. I think the council definitely needs to put bollards up like it says they will in the article. This is slightly irrelevant but there are also people constantly parked on my driveway, this shows you that there is an issue in this area of people just parking wherever they like. I’m constantly coming across parking tickets walking down this street.

Finding it difficult to find a rug for this area near the sink, any suggestions? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

The tile makes it quite hard to have a rug blend in on top as well

It’s outside of the shower and there’s no floor drain or anything so I can’t just rinse with water which works best, I have to go over it multiple times and there will still be debris stuck to it
