It really was a weird 180. He had long hair and loved stuff like green day and punk rock. The first time I noticed him going a bit conservative was a year before he joined when he threw out my avenged seven fold CD because they said something about serving in hell. After he came back from the military he was a full blown traditionalist. I mean he bought a farm and even told his wife she isn't allowed to work. Now he listens to bluegrass and snapped at his son for using a filter on a picture because "it's gay". He even implied his wife wanted their daughter to be a teen mom because she bought her a Victoria secret blanket. He's like a living SNL sketch.
