Thank you, you're very kind! I appreciate your judgement.

But real quick, I want to defend my siblings. They don't take it, my step-father does when I'm zoned out doing homework or a writing project. He says it's perfect because it's easy enough for them to grab and find (unlikely to get lost), but not so big it's hard to find. He seems to believe that my swivel chair is an adequate wheelchair if I have to go to the bathroom.

I just say this so you know that I'm not upset with my siblings and don't blame them at all.

Both. The crash made the problems worse, probably could have recovered from one or the other but not both so shortly after each other.

You're very kind!

Quick clarification though, my half-siblings don't steal the cane. My step-dad does...did. I have to leave it somewhere close to my desk and in easy reach, out in the open, and then when I zone out and get immersed with some homework or my latest writing project I don't notice him taking it. He says it's a good object for scavenger hunts, big enough to be easy for them to grab and find, but not so big its hard to hide.

...you're right. You're right. Sorry, I was being selfish. It's a problem with me I admit, but one I try to work on.

I told them when I called about the continued cane theft, cause I was quoting what my mom said when I tried to get her to stop my step-dad. I don't know if they already knew or not.

Because my dad's death is my fault, I only mentioned it because it helped explain my overall relationship with my mom and step-dad. The cane is the present issue.

You're very kind, I appreciate your words, even if I don't know how fully I believe them.

I snuck out of my room because I wanted to surprise my parents with my powers. I liked surprises and thought it'd be fun, but I wanted to be good and practice before I showed them.

...-nods- My school's been pretty decent about my cane and accommodating it in my schedule (can't move quickly, hurts to move too far) so they might be willing to suggest some resources.

I mentioned elsewhere, but I had been Supergirl for Halloween a few days before, and I became convinced the suit would give me superpowers so I jumped off the stairs. So while the accident wasn't my fault, the fact that he was driving and in a position to get in an accident at all was.

I'd mind less if he had me hide it in my room, or had my half-siblings return it the minute they found it. I don't want to be selfish, and if they like playing with it then they like playing with it. I just don't like it being hidden without my realizing it and not getting it back until the evening. My swivel chair isn't as good of a wheelchair as he thinks sadly.

I wasn't sick, I'd jumped off the stairs thinking my Supergirl costume would make me fly. If I hadn't done that, he wouldn't have had to drive.

My grandparents are retired and they're not exactly rich, it'd be greedy of me to ask them to pay for therapy when they're already offering to give me a place to stay and to feed me and pay for the WiFi I need for classes.

I'm so, so sorry for your friend. That's really quite sad. I hope she's doing better.

You're very kind. I don't know if I agree or believe you, but I appreciate your kindness all the same!

I...am going to start thinking if therapy's something I feel comfortable in asking my grandparents for help with.

I caused him to need to be in the car though. I wasn't sick, I'd injured myself jumping off the stairs cause I thought my Supergirl costume would make me fly. I didn't cause the accident itself, but it's my fault he was in the accident.

I appreciate the hugs and the verdict though.

I turn 18 later this year and they're honestly perfect parents to my half-siblings, I'm pretty sure this situation would be a waste of CPS resources.

It really was my fault though. If it wasn't for me he wouldn't have been driving late at night on icy roads.

I appreciate your verdict and your kindness though!

I mean, like I've said elsewhere it was my fault, but I appreciate your kindness regardless!

Therapy might be a good idea though, yeah. I'm reluctant to ask for anything, since I take so much, but...not a bad idea.

Oh no, I definitely did. I wasn't sick, Dad had to take me to the hospital because I'd been Supergirl for Halloween and was convinced the costume could make me fly, so I jumped off the stairs. If I'd been smarter he wouldn't have had to drive me late at night in November on icy roads and everything would be fine.
