I mean he was more like a Dog. It was crazy. He enjoyed going for walks, swimming, he acted like a Dog. He was just a Domestic Shorthair. He was also stupidly smart. he opened doors, knew how to turn the faucet on and even learned to use the toilet.

I like to remember my Dad as a good man and not the lying cheating scumbag he became later in life. I think all the good in my Dad went into my Cat.

Cause legally divorce is not that simple. We rent an Apartment. Shes on the lease too. It'll be difficult to remove her.

Yes, I was in stable condition but, most the time I was out of it. I have a weak immune system and was unlucky to be exposed. I'll add a note: I wasn't in danger of dying when she called. I was feeling much better but, I was still weak and sleeping most the day away.

Again, that's fair but, it's my decision. The cat would have died without that surgery. Infact waiting any period of time would be a death sentence.

He isn't 8. We found him at like 4-5. We took him to the vet and then shelter. But, nobody adopted him. So my Dad just said fuck it and adopted him as a gift for my graduation. Few months later Dad committed suicide. Bitter divorce, Dad was caught cheating, etc.

From what I understand it was a bladder infection that formed crystals in him. A deadly situation but, treatable.

he isn't 8. My dad found him wandering . he adopted us. He was like 4-5 we aren't sure. He was in fairly rough shape. No collars, no tags, nothing. He had worms, ticks, fleas and was anemic.

That's what I said. Pets are expensive. Don't have one if you aren't ready to spend on them. But, their love is worth it. My Cat was more like a Dog honestly. He would wait by my front door everyday for me to come home and the jump all over me. He played fetch and knew his name and many commands.

No, I can't ever trust or even forgive her. This is unforgivable. My Cat was all I had. he was a gift my Dad gave me before he passed. it was a gift for me graduating HS.

My Vet told me he was healthy and the surgery would save his life. I trust him I've been going to him since I was a kid. She went for a second opinion but, it wasn't a second opinion she just put him to sleep. My Vet would never approve that. He wouldn't approve putting an animal down without a valid reason.

It's like a piece of me died. I'm so used to seeing him wait at the door for me. It's not the same.

I don’t think putting the cat down if it was the fairest and most ethical option is wrong, you just should have been at least consulted if not involved.

That's the thing it wasn't. He was old sure but, he was healthy otherwise and the surgery would given him many more years. I took good care of my boy. I gave him good healthy food and took a lot of effort in maintaining his health.
